Terra Nostrum Year 476 of the 4th Era.

It was a beautiful time to be alive, technological advancements like the steam engine had brought prosperity to this world. The steam engine was amazing, now we had a machine we could use to make farming easier, transporting goods faster, work in factories less difficult and backbreaking. With the steam engine, dreams would become reality, everyone could achieve wonders with this machine and it had brought prosperity to this world. Factories were manufacturing huge quantities in no time, farms had an overflow of food and the normal man had an easier time working. This of course meant that the people of this world suddenly had more time for themselves, making it possible for them to study, explore and so much more. Another great find was whale oil, this allowed people to light their houses and streets in the dark night, this also created many jobs in the ports and whaling ships. Mendrossa also known as the capital of this world (unofficial of course, you still have countries and stuff… Will come back on this later.) was the most prosperous city of them all, it was here that people from all around the globe came to study, trade, work, find a new life and make it better. This was the place to make something of yourself.


In Mendrossa you had a few major institutes, you had the World Theologian society. These were people dedicated to religious studies, all the religions of this world was studied here and was free for all to join. Then you had the Institute of Biology and Physics, as the name says it focussed its studies on everything biological and off course studied the wonders of physics such as gravity and speed of light and things like that. In this city there were countless institutes but the most important one was the Royal Science Society, this society was for everyone who could think with his brain and work with his hands, this was the place where inventors were born. Of course you had to be a member of the society to enter but you didn’t need to fear as they had their own university dedicated just for science and the good part was that if you were graduated and top of class you would get a guaranteed place inside the society alongside its privileges. Of course there were a lot of universities in Mendrossa with connections to several institutes and every year thousands of people came from all around the world to study here. The good thing about this is that you could join university from a young age, the minimum age was 16 years


Now let’s get back to the university of Science, I was always fascinated in this university and due to my father being one of the most well-known scientists on this planet it was only normal for me to join up. It took 3 years to graduate from this school but you could choose different packages, one for 3 years, one for 5 and one for 7. The last one would allow you to get a Professional Master degree, allowing you to become a member of the society without being top of class (because almost no one took this package) and of course if you had passed 5 years you could become your own master, taking in a first or second year student as your apprentice. Of course I took the last package as I was still young, only 16 years old but everyone called me a genius… well actually a mad genius but I always only listened to the genius part, I had passed for 5 years and I had filled in my request for an apprentice and got accepted.

Well here’s the part where you come in, but I guess you would already have noticed where this is going. Yeah you would be a first or second year student (your own choice) and you would become my apprentice for this journey. Now some more explaining, as my apprentice you would have it easier than the student s without an apprentice ship so the university gave you more tasks, tasks which I was to help you with. Also you and your science master had to pick a project which you would show to the university professors at the end of the year. In order to start the apprenticeship you would need to go to your master's house first and meet him to sign the last papers and get your directions straight.

Magic was real in the world of Hermonia, It was the year 3550 of the 5th era and even in this time of steam machines, factories, rising nationalism and huge gaps between society classes, magic was still a real thing. Naturally like all things, magic was used for good but also for bad, the good things were the new invention in the hospitals and to help people, the bad things were that magic was used to invent new war machines and other horrific things. You would think that the Ministry of magic would try to keep magic secret for the ‘un-fits’ those who couldn’t use magic, but they did the opposite, the Ministry didn't want to cause any unrest like it did in the middle ages when the "un-fits" hunted witches and those who could use magic, no they wanted everyone to work together. Although alot of people liked this also a few oppossed this idea, but nevertheless this collaboration worked and it all made this new industrial revolution possible.

The world of Hermonia is actually the name of the land mass where the 3 of the 4 lands are located, the other one is located on the Island of "Kin" But more about that later. The first land is called Mendrossa, after it's capital city "Mendrossa". the people here are really standing behind their current Emperor and the government here is an Autocrazy, almost dictatorship like, but not the bad kind, no this land was the most whealtiest, safest and industrious of them all. The government worked, the people were happy and resources were abundant, also the Ministry of Magic had their HQ in the capital.

The second land was Albion, also called after it's capital city "Albion" the people here were ruled under a aristocratic regime that focused on Industry and knowledge, this land had also the largest library of all the lands combined. It's scholars were revered and traveled the lands to give lectures in the universities. It's mages were quite amazing but nothing compared to those from Mendrossa. The people here were also content and stood behind their leaders like a rock.

The land to the North was Erbor with their capital city being "Irikum", It was home of the dwarfs and on the surface there were almost no cities as they had almost all their cities underground in the mountains, where their vast mines ran deep into the earth. The dwarfs were rich due to their minerals and strong warriors as they had the best blacksmiths of all the lands. Magic wise they only focused on earth magic and researching the earth. Their use of runes made them do great things, their minerals often contain hidden magic. Their rulling system were clans that had divided the land between the clan leaders. The dwarfs were harsh folk and stubborn as well.

The last land was Kin with it's capital city of "Myol", the people here were more shy and due to their issolation of the other lands they were more on themselves. The land was covered in forest which housed alot of old shrines guarded by magical creatures. The people here were excellent fighters and sword makers, their order and spirituality made them find peace with the environment. They had one leader, their shogun ruled everything as smaller lords ruled parts of the land under their shogun's rule.

All the lands had magical creatures roaming freely through the woods, mountains, flatlands... The world was beautiful and diverse with also alot of hidden treasure.

(The map isn't completely finished but it is for 90 percent, it still needs tweaking but besides the forests everything is on it. For this roleplay I recommend having the map with you. If you need more info about the land then please ask me.).
