Here are the grounds rules:

1.) Be literate (Grammar and Spelling included)
2.) No one liners (At least a paragraph 5 sentences)
3.) No god-moding
4.) Try not to leave someone out, once there is an order try to stick with it unless something comes up
5.) Romance is okay, perhaps even encouraged as since each character should be different and from differen’t clans could create more tension in the group.
6.) Have fun

(Note some of this info is real and some I have made up for story purposes. (Ex: White Tiger is actually Autumn but I switched it to Winter to keep with color theme.)

The Four Symbols are four mythological creatures in the Chinese constellations. They are the Azure Dragon of the East, the Vermilion Bird (Phoenix) of the South, the White Tiger of the West, and the Black Turtle of the North. Each one of them represents a direction and a season, and each has its own individual characteristics and origins. Symbolically and as part of spiritual and religious belief, they have been culturally important in China, Korea, Vietnam, and Japan.

The Four Clans believe in these creatures, each one holding their name as their sigil of power. They all lived in harmony until a darkness came upon them, calling themselves the Fifth Clan. Their leader claiming to hold the power of the Yellow Dragon of the Center within him. A creature that was said to have died long ago after challenging the Azure Dragon for its spot in the sky. None of the other Clans believed in his words and were struck down by lightning. It has never been heard of for a mythological beast give its power to a human but this human beheld the Yellow Dragon's powers and named himself ruler of the Clans.

Centuries passed and the Yellow Dragon Clan have ruled. Though prophecy beholds that 4 children born in the same year, each during different seasons would find that they too have the power of the Four Beasts inside them. That they would come together to over throw the Fifth Clan's hold on their families clans and bring the world back to the way it way before.

Easy as it sounds, these children are found. Each having a distinct tattoo on their arms of their beast. They are brought together by their chiefs so that they may help each other grasp the use of their powers together. (As the power didn't appear until each turned 21) Though the Clans aren't as friendly now as they were back then. With the future of these 4 children unknown, will they help each other and save their people? Or will they fail to work together to fulfill the prophecy?

Azure Dragon of the East (Taken by @lostgirlofneverland and @Takuto_Karikuchi )
Element: Water
Season: Spring
Clan: First Clan (Blue)
Environment (So each has a different knowledge, disadvantages, childhood of each other): The bluish-grey water-logged soils of the East, village lies near a Great Lake whose rivers flow to each other clan.

Vermillion Bird of the South (Taken by @Emperor )
Element: Fire
Season: Summer
Clan: Second Clan (Red)
Environment: The reddish iron-rich soils of the South, known for their clay art and pottery as well as spices.

White Tiger of the West (Taken by me)
Element: Air/Ice
Season: Winter
Clan: Third Clan (White)
Environment: The whitish tops of the Western mountains, gets snows annually and temperatures drop unpredictably. Known for their furs and clothing. River freezes over etc.

Black Turtle of the North (Taken by @TheAmazingEccentric if you so choose to just repost your previous character)
Element: Earth/Rock/Nature
Season: Autumn
Clan: Fourth Clan (Black or Green)
Environment: The black organic-rich soils of the North, known for their weapons and way with taming animals.

(I will be playing the Yellow Dragon as well since they won’t be present for most of the time as I plan for the journey to be long)

Yellow Dragon of the Center (Taken by me unless someone wants to take it later on when they become relevant)
Element: Electricity/Lightning
Season: Random
Clan: Fifth Clan (Gold)
Environment: Little of each of the ones listened above. Known for their riches and jewelry. Most industrial. Note: lives in a great city and palace. Think medieval.

(My Oc will be the White Tiger descendant. Also feel free to get creative with each clan's customs and such, go wild. I hope the spots fill up if not I will let those who wish to make another OC)

Note: try to keep the gender equal so I’d prefer to have a mix of both)

Comment "Four" so I know you read everything

((I can’t tell if those are years of joy or sadness .-.))

Name: Amelia Faust

Descendant: White Tiger

Age: 21

Personality: Like the place she grew up in, she's cold and distant. Quiet not because she is afraid to speak but that she rather listen than to be heard. She is always calm of mind though she is only human after all and some things do set her off. Amelia holds all her feelings inside and refuses to let any weakness show. However she is very much yearning to make her people proud and to protect the ones she cares about. Though a little offputing because of her silent demeanor, she makes small talk that is more sarcastic than she usually means it to be.

Bio (Optional): Growing up, Amelia never felt special. Every child born in her same year wanted to be the chosen one, checking their bodies everyday for the mark of the White Tiger just for a chance to recieve the glory of having been chosen by the beast which guided them through the long winters. She never wanted to be chosen or special, Amelia simply wanted to see the world and what else there was than her frozen home.

The day she discovered on her 21st birthday the tiger tattoo, Amelia was both scared and extremely in denial. It took her sometime to let everything sink in before accepting her fate. No one could stop her from exploring the world when she was the descendent of the White tiger. She never tried out her powers but whenever something upset her, she could see that around her seemed to get colder like it was something that if she let lose would destroy everything. She was more afraid of it than anything and still never uses it.

((I ended up just getting the same starter from before since it never kicked off much after anyway. That and I’m lazy.))

The heat is oppressive, sweltering and exhausting, it sticks to the skin and made Amelia feel like she was being cooked alive. Here the Clans were, coming together for the first time in generations to bring together members of a great prophecy that would restore them the the golden age, and yet she couldn't stop the urge to rip off her nice winter cloak in front of all the clan chiefs and her new soon-to-be companions. Supposedly, through many years of discussion about where the chosen few would meet when or if they so appeared, the Clans had chosen the home of the Second Clan. They were the farthest away from where the Fifth Clan had planted their dark roots, between the Third and Fourth Clan. All agreed this would prevent any Fifths to be present when they revealed the Four to one another.

The chiefs seemed intent on glaring at each other, having some silent argument with their eyes; their escorts stood at attention emotionlessly. This was the first time in centuries that all four chiefs were present without there being any blood shed. Amelia wouldn't have believed it if she were not standing behind her chief whom was clad in a similar attire to her own.

Her chief had insisted she wear traditional western clothing, to of course show off her full fur cloak and a loose fitting white tunic bejeweled in blues and grays. Elegant but easy enough to move in. It was sleeveless to show off her tiger tattoo, her cloak hanging over her right shoulder. She glanced down at her tattoo briefly, the tiger looking as if it were clinging to her arm, its claws digging into her pale skin with its maw open in a silent roar.

Amelia refocused her attention when her chief clear her throat. Obviously, she was done staring down the other leaders and was ready to get down to business. "Red, we are guests here within your borders. Thank you for allowing us into your home in these dire times." The White Tiger Chief dipped her head in quiet gratitude but Amelia suspected it was all to dispel the hostility stinking up the meeting room. She gestured in a wide arc to Amelia who kept her expression neutral as she could feel eyes turn towards her. If she could, she'd probably run toward the exit and never come back. This however she knew was wishful thinking and the past week she'd endured strict lesson in etiquette and manners all for this moment; to make her clan proud. Amelia really tried to run when the tattoo first appeared but it was difficult to hide the tattoo forever. She didn't want the fame and 'honor', she didn't want to make her cold-hearted, soulless clan proud. Amelia wanted out as fast as she could.

“This is Amelia Faust. The White Tiger Descendant. First born with the gifts of ice and air." All the elegance and grandeur in her voice made Amelia want to puke but she went with a polite nod to very one in the room. Her chief, satisfied by her introduction, spoke again. "I feel introduction is necessary if these pupils are to work with each other and train together."

[Meantioned: Amelia
Interacted with: Second Clan’s Leader]

(Adding this just to help with any confusion)

(I didn’t really think they were that uneven? I mean the whole point is not for them to be individually powerful but to be powerful together. If they needed to cross a river, they need the water decendant. If there was a boulder or fallen log in the way, fire and earth decendant could contribute that way. I wasn’t really making it so one was more special that the others. That and I just listed what each of the Four Beasts were listed as symbolizing. Ex: winter being snow and harsh winds and Summer being hot. )

Clearly amused by the old man's observation, the White Tiger chief gave out a sharp laugh and shook her head as if she were brushing off her silly charade from earlier. "You are right wise one. There hasn't been any sign of hope that this day would come..." Her words trailed off as she scanned the room, probably taking it all in, writing this moment down in her memory. The White chief let out a deep sigh and Amelia could see the evident relief in her chief's shoulders as she continued after a moment of pause. "But the day has come and I do think it is about time we gave our people something to celebrate. We can be civil for a time, yes?" she said this with a hint of sarcasm but it wasn't evident on her face that she was trying to be friendly.

With the chief's discussing their future, Amelia thought back to her homeland, there wasn't anything at all that Amelia could classify as a day to celebrate. Of course a successful hunt always got the village in a good mood. The bigger the animal, the louder the men would boast and drink. She wondered briefly what it was like for the others, the only information that Amelia received was from her imagination. The map helped as with most cultural regions they used what was given around them by the earth. The earth decided it was fair to give her clan snow and more snow with a river that provided more risk than reward.

Amelia managed to hide her annoyance as the Vermillion Bird’s descendant threw a wink her way as he passed. She wasn’t in the mood to deal with her fellow decendant acting like a fool when they all knew how much was at stake. Though the White Tiger decendant couldn’t help be a little impressed as the girl named Cordelia displayed her skill and power. Unlike Amelia, it seemed she had practiced right after discovering her powers instead of avoid it like she had. The power...was terrifying and new and raw. She was afraid of it spilling out of control every time she tried anything, even dropping the room temperature seemed dangerous in Amelia’s eyes.

Out of curiosity she turned her attention to Oso, her need to know what else there was to her freezing village back home urging her to picture what his homeland beheld.

She'd only seen the North from her side of their border. They were a very quiet people, almost mysterious in their grace and knowledge of the world around them. In another life perhaps she would see what wonders the North hid from her, so close and yet so far from her own home. Oso's appearance gave no inclination of formality which made Amelia feel a little better about her encrusted tunic and fine furs.

That was until the damned chewing started, to which Amelia remained stone-face despite the prickling need to freeze his mouth shut.

((Uh Id say no, just because I planned to have each descendant control their own “creature”, more so that they’re the only one who can see their beast whom they are sharing their power with.))

Amelia planted herself firmly as a force pushed on her. She hated this, Amelia felt no need to prove herself the desendant of the White Tiger and yet the pressure not to appear weak conflicted with her growing uneasiness. Something wanted to break free from her body, it made her jaw clench with the effort to remain cool. Her eyes watched the Black Turtle descendant as he spoke to which she found herself agreeing to.

If this was to honor the bestowing of their gifts then why was one missing and the other tied up? It seemed like the whole prophecy of them four working as a team was already in the process of failing.

Amelia turned her head to look at her chief, meeting her glare. “Are you going to remain useless to the very end? Lucky for First Clan, they have two to chosen from.” She clicked her tongue in disappointment, “The White Tiger chosen wrong.”

Something snapped, Amelia didn’t realize she’d lost her hold on her composure until something fell upon her shoulder. She blinked as a frozen leaf rested on her cloak and noticed that everything looked to have been shaken in a snowglobe. Amelia had to squint to see past the sudden sheer whiteness of everything. The floor was slick with a thin sheet of ice as well as the leaves that were still floating about.

((Oh okay I reread her question. I suppose that could work. Someone who is in charge of them all and responsible for making sure they work together. ))

((I mean I guess she can decide what she wants to do. I don’t mind if it’s to help keep things moving))

(Accepted though I don’t know about her age if she’s going to be in charge of people older than she is and supposedly be trusted in looking after them. Other than that go ahead and fit yourself in how you see fit)
