personality : in the presence of the royal family it's only expected that malon acts about as formal and compliant as required of her. she takes her responsibilities as castle staff quite seriously. this is more so due to her father's position as higher staff in the castle—for her it's incredibly important to unload the burden of responsibilities placed on him. family means a great deal to her, actually, and she often acts in accordance to what she thinks her parents would agree with or believe in. as a result she's been raised to be a rather charitable and approachable person, someone that brings warmth and love to the people around her essentially. malon is hardly a soft, subservient girl, though. her compassionate behavior often manifests through protectiveness of those she cares for, bold truthfulness at all moments, and a fiery determination for the things she believes in.
physical description : standing at a height of six feet and three inches, malon has a visibly muscular yet feminine frame. she has hair that’s a vibrant shade of red that reaches a little past her hips. her most often choice of hair style is a high ponytail to keep her hair out of her face during physical activity. her eyes are a deep blue like her father’s and her skin is a golden tan like her mother’s. there is some scars littered across her body, mostly from accidents in handling creatures or monsters.
clothing : as a stablehand at hyrule castle she will typically dress in the assigned uniform. that consists of a short sleeve white button-up top with the royal family's emblem, thick trousers of any neutral color, and dark brown steel-toed boots. around her neck is usually a dark red neckerchief. she also wears a utility belt where she keeps animal snacks and items, her work gloves, a pocket knife, her keys to the stables, and any tools she will need to momentarily carry. during her occasional time off, malon will dress in traditional gerudo women's clothing which consists of a tight purple colored tube top, a low-rise purple sirwal, and darker purple flats. on occasion she will wear a loose vest-like garment and veil to shield the lower half of her face. she accessories her outfit with thick gold bracelets, a string of beads around her upper arms, a gold necklace with a large ruby, and an intricate gold circlet with a ruby in the middle.
abilities or skills : due to her familiarity with working with animals, especially horses, malon seems to have almost an otherworldly connection with them that leads them to be drawn to her and cooperate. some may say she's simply good at her job, but she likes to joke that the goddesses blessed her with the animals' adoration. she's also quite an excellent tracker due to her experience of tracking animals. aside from that she's a highly capable warrior. she's more comfortable using a scimitar and shield, but she is just as perfectly versed with the large bladed spears the gerudo typically use.
family : malon has an incredibly small family. there’s her father, talon, whom she is most often accompanying and then there is her mother, muvail. her father is the stable master of hyrule castle. her mother is the chief of one of the seven gerudo tribes. they had originally met back when the tribes had a more positive relationship with the hylian royal family. they always wanted more children, but that was never possible as muvail became chief of her tribe two years after malon was born and was considerably busier. her father also has a friend called ingo that he's quite close with and works in the hyrule castle stable, too. as a result, malon was kind of raised as viewing ingo as an uncle despite not being related.
