full title : the hyrulean resistance commander, zelda hyrule.

nicknames or alias : zel. zellie. sunbeam.

age : twenty to twenty four. dependent on rp.

occupation : resistance leader, possessor of the triforce of wisdom. (formerly) princess of hyrule.

religious or spiritual beliefs : polytheistic hylian. as one of the many descendant's of hylia, this zelda was also born into the polytheism of hyrule. she regularly took part in ceremonies dedicated to hylia and the golden goddesses prior to her family's removal to the thrown. while she is still faithful to deity worship, her faith isn't as strong anymore as a result of her current situation.

personality : strong-willed and perceptive, the former royal proves herself fully capable as a leader. although her upbringing was unconventional for a girl of divine hylian blood, the young zelda never strayed from the values of her ancestors. the well-being of others is of upmost importance to her, causing her to act selflessly time and time again. as a descendant to goddess hylia, she considers it her responsibility to ensure the safety of all of hyrule's people and is determined to face any challenge that threatens that. all most all her actions are based on careful consideration about how others could be affected. she often tries her best to not express negative feelings, but having to regain control of a kingdom is a heavy burden. as a result she has grown skilled at burying feelings like doubt or fear, meaning she will almost always present herself in a self-assured and confident way even in a situation of loss. it's only in the privacy of solitude that she allows herself to dwell on those negative feelings. hyrule desperately needed a resilient savior, after all, and zelda was more than willing to mold herself into that person.

physical description : standing at a height of five feet and eight inches, zelda has a slim yet athletic build. this is partly due to being raised with formal combat training at the hands of the sheikah. she has lengthy blonde hair, similar to her mother's, that reaches her lower back and has a blunt fringe of hair at the front. she uses wrapping to tie two sections of her hair that frame her face. her ears are pierced, which she wears rhombus shaped earrings for. she has blue eyes, framed by short eyelashes. she has a handful of scars from past encounters with monsters littered across her legs, torso, and arms, but those are typically hidden by her clothing.

clothing : her typical outfit consists of a white dress with blue sleeves and a pale pink frontal section with the royal family crest. she often wears pink flats or light brown boots. beneath her dress she wears protective pants, specifically for situations of combat to avoid exposing herself. another outfit she wears is her ceremonial garb: a plain white dress with gold detailing, gold bracelets, and a gold necklace. this clothing is meant to symbolize her status as a descendant to goddess hylia's mortal self. she typically only wears it when taking part in a ceremony or practice about goddess hylia. lastly, she also has her regal garb which is a dark pink top with a white blouse underneath, a thick golden chest plate with a dark cape attached, a thin circlet around her head, brown trousers, and brown traveling boots with white and gold detailing.

abilities or powers : as the one wielding the triforce of wisdom and the present descendant of goddess hylia's mortal incarnation, zelda is blessed with a magic unlike any other within hyrule. she's well-versed in light magic, specifically. said light magic takes form in blasts of divine light, beams shining from the sky, projectile orbs of light, etc.. this magic stems from her divine sealing power—an ability she shares with her ancestors to directly combat ganon's malice by sealing him indefinitely. in this zelda's case, she more often uses it to restrain monsters and hold them back. magic can be physically taxing on her body, however, so does rely on her bow or projectiles when possible. she carries a wide variety of arrows at all times because of this. stemming from her connection to goddess hylia and the triforce of wisdom is also her ability to communicate via telepathy and having prophetic dreams. her telepathy is a trait she shares with countless of her ancestors and she often does utilize it to communicate with her allies, especially in dire situations. her prophetic dreams, on the other hand, are complicated in nature. they are more like vague visions that give her a view of the potential future. there is never a guarantee a certain event will play out exactly as it did in her dreams, but it's nonetheless insightful as she can take precautions to worse situations. lastly, she received some survival training from the sheikah. it's mostly basic things like some simple medical care, easy recipes to make with ingredients found in the wild, how to locate shelter, etc.. she hardly ever travels alone, so there would always still be someone to technically aid her during her traveling.

family : zelda's family is rather small. there's her father, morah komalphen hyrule, who was once the king of hyrule and there's her mother, zelda hyrule, who was the queen of hyrule. she never had any siblings. she did have extended family from her father's side, but they lost contact after her family was forced to abandon hyrule castle.

biography : born into the royal family of hyrule, zelda was once the princess to the kingdom of hyrule. but, unfortunately, at her young age the kingdom was in a time of great turmoil and conflict. her father was waging war against an army of monsters and men fighting on behalf of a man aiming to dethrone him. for roughly six years of her life, the young princess watched with every passing day how her father planned counterattacks and invasion tactics, how he continuously had to send his men to a brutal battle field, and how hardly any ever returned without injury. in the safety of hyrule castle the young zelda spent her days praying and praying and praying until there was nothing left to really pray for. the invading army was on the outskirts of castle town and, if they wanted any chance of surviving, the royal family of hyrule would need to flee. so, they abandoned the castle with the aid of their sheikah allies and a few guards. thus began a new chapter of zelda's life: an upbringing in hiding. the former princess was still regarded with utmost importance by the sheikah tribe. it was an incredibly different living situation, but the former princess was quick to adapt due to her young age. it wasn't as if they planned for it to be a permanent situation because the former king, alongside the sheikah, were initiating plans to remove from power the new king and ensure the safety of hyrule once again. only this time they would need to rely on zelda's capabilities to be the driving force of a resistance to overthrow the new king of hyrule. over the course of her childhood to young adulthood, she would thus spend her days on all sorts of training for a future in which she must face the new king of hyrule. she rigorously worked on her magic capabilities, learned to wield a bow and sheikah projectiles, to take part in the practice of stealth, was taught how to effectively lead her own combatant force, and minor medical care in case something ever happened. the looming threat over her kingdom required that she learn to fight and survive, so the sheikah tribe and her parents ensure she'd be ready to do just that despite how unconventional it was. what they hadn't been aware of was the high stakes of the situation. it was only after zelda began to have dreams of hyrule's dark future—a time in which the sealing of ganon was undone—that the sheikah and the royal family realized their battle was not as simple as removing an evil king from power. there was, of course, some hope in their dire situation. the nightmarish dreams always featured a figure: a young man wielding the master sword, standing at her side as they stare down an approaching darkness. knowing she couldn't face this new threat alone, zelda would then embark on a search for hyrule's new hero to aid her in once again protecting their kingdom from potential doom.
