Bio: Adam's childhood was generally alright, growing up in a stable house with a nice mother and father and an older sister that sometimes bullied him but, didn't all siblings? Adam was the closest with his father, both of them sharing similar skills and interest, both of them bonding closer than Adam did with the rest of the family, making his father's death effect Adam much harder than most, especially with a combination of hormones involved. Adam had been an amazing student, a star student who did what he was told and got amazing grades, spending long nights at the library and filling up his personal time with reading. But, with the sudden death of his father and the lack of empathy from, well, anyone, Adam became a rebel; his grades quick to drop as he entered high school, skipping classes and school in general, and causing as much trouble as he could whenever he could. No one took the death of Adam’s father as hard as he did, not even his own mother. Though Adam hadn’t noticed it before, his parents were planning to separate, even before his father grew sick, so the sickness didn’t affect her too much. To her, their relationship had been over before that and his death was simply like he was permanently out of the picture. Adam’s sister and mother never understood his change in behavior, Adam being certainly smart in his younger years and still is by definition if he only tried in his classes, overall disapproving of his life choices. They never understood how hard everything hit Adam but, then again, he never let it show how much he was hurting. His mother remarried and his sister took the role as the star child, Adam glad to have the light taken off of him.
During his high school career, he discovered his sexuality, began expanding his already large amount of drinking and partying to casual sex with any classmate he could find. Even sometimes…more than a classmate. Adam remembered that day forever, being called back by a teacher and watching him lock the door to the classroom. Adam hadn’t asked for this; he didn’t try to seduce the teacher for a grade change or anything like that. The teacher persuaded it all on their own and in the moment, Adam was both too young to realize how wrong it was and truly outmatched in strength. So he didn’t fight it. It hurt and it left him, for once, feeling actually dirty. But he kept his head high and left school with a limp and though he would try to forget it, that memory was permanently engrained into his mind. And the worst part was…he believed that he deserved it. Some part of him believed that he deserved that pain and sexual abuse so he just accepted it and continued to accept partners who treated him much like this. Like someone who deserved this pain.
After high school, Adam did still manage to make it into college but he didn't stay there for long, choosing his own life with his own path and making new friends, both good and bad and some in between. He travels where ever he wants whenever he wants, he drinks and eats whatever he wants, he sleeps with whoever he wants. It was the life and nothing was stopping him even if it never made him happy. Nothing made him happy anymore anyway.
