Partial backstory:
Cocky and headstrong, Suzumi is Hellshocks point woman.
Having been raised by military crazed parents she joined the army on her 16 birthday. After 5 years of fighting in wars she didn't believe in and killing people who probably didn't deserve it she left. Shortly after, she found someone who had been dishonourably discharged for assaulting an officer who ordered his squad to fire on civilians. Seeing the opportunity, Suzumi approached them with an offer to start their own PMC and thus, Hellshock was born.
She's known by most as the kind of person to shoot first ask later, but that's just the impression her personality gives. She rarely accepts a job unless there's a good reason regardless of the price she's offered. A few years after the formation of Hellshock an outbreak spread across her city releasing the undead and various mutants onto the population. After the military was pulled out Suzumi fought alongside a soldier who remained behind to search for survivors. Unfortunately the soldier lost their life during the battle and Suzumi was forced to try to escape with her daughter. In a tragic turn of fate however, her daughter was found by the creatures while Suzumi was helping defend the city and she was forced to euthanise her. She was the only person to make it out from the city with what remained of her daughters body. She now does what she can to make a life in what remains of the world after the outbreak spread.

Personality:
As stated, she is cocky and often quick to retort with a witty remark when challenged. A lot of people find her difficult to get along with, given her blunt attitude and aggressive temper when provoked. Some would call her arrogant, she would just say she's confident and doesn't take sh*t from people. While headstrong in her beliefs she's still willing to adapt them when proven wrong or new info comes to light. Extremely protective of those she cares about and always putting their lives above her own. Hurting one of them would make her your enemy for the rest of your likely short life.

"I could tell you I do it for the greater good. That someone has to in order to keep the peace. But that'd be bullsh*t... The truth is, I kill people because I find it fun... Nothing else in the world compares to the rush it gives. When I take the lives of others it makes me feel alive myself. I'm like a vampire of the battlefield, taking the lives of others to give my own meaning... That doesn't mean I don't have standards though. I'll only kill the f***ers I think deserve it. That's partly why I left the military. I like to point my own gun, not have it pointed for me be some arsehole with a snazzy rank."
