Partial backstory:
Usually quiet and reserved, Otsukai is the coordinator and heavy weapons expert of Hellshock.
Originally a soldier, Otsukai was dishonorably discharged for assaulting her Commanding Officer. However the part that was never taken into account was that the officer had ordered his squad to fire upon civilians. After a year or so of wandering she was approached by a fellow ex soldier who offered her the chance to form a PMC with her. Having nothing else to do she accepted and as a result Hellshock was created.
Rarely showing emotion, She keeps the rest of the group in check and makes sure missions always go to plan. While Suzumi likes to rush into combat Otsukai prefers to suppress the enemy, allowing the others to close in. However this changes once she has been fully "triggered." Once fully activated, her mind shuts off from all outside distraction, focusing only on the objective at hand and taking a much more brutal and vicious approach to it, making her rush in even ahead of Suzumi.
Living in a different city to her partner, after the outbreak began she fought her way to her. Slaughtering her way through unbelievable odds to help the one who gave her another chance at life, she eventually made it to her destination. Sadly, by the time she made it to the city it had already been completely overrun and she watched as her heartbroken partner dragged herself from the city carrying the remains of her only child. After the initial shock of the outbreak she and her partner maintained there PMC mentality and are now hired by the various survivors to kill bandits and beasts throughout various locations.

Personality:
Otsukai is the definition of deadpan. Rarely talking and doing so in a monotone voice when she does. She claims her sole drive is to "do what she feels is right." Nobody really knows what she means by that though. She only ever talks about the facts as she sees them, rarely forming any type of opinion of her own. Her memory of her past is hazy at best, remembering practically nothing before military service and only really remembering the later parts of that.

"I was given an order that contradicted my mission. Upon my refusal to carry it out, Captain Baker demanded that the rest of the squad carry it out without me. This also contradicted my mission so I disarmed and decommissioned the Capitan until finally I allowed myself to be restrained by the rest of the team. My actions placed Baker in a full body cast but they also prevented the order from being carried out and ensured the success of my mission. I hold no regrets for my actions."
