CHEMICAL STRUCTURE AND BIOLOGY
Unique, not found on earth.  

ATTRIBUTES
Molecular mutation  on physical contact and adaptation of foreign material and biology. Self sentient.  

ORGAN TYPE
Classed by species under gland.  KNOWN BY
Cogland, black flower, skinwalker heart, reboot gland. 

HARVEST
Transferring skinwalker organ is impossible as attempting to do so the organ will immediately begin to adapt and adopt into the surroundings. No substance found that cannot be copied. Harvesting should happen at the spot on the live body of a skinwalker. Which would be another difficult hard task without a skinwalker's willing surrender. For a surprise attack, usually they keep a few mock spares and one should be lucky to get the 'mother' gland before it binds into the material around it (making it undiscoverable).  

DESTRUCTION
Dicing it should work. It will quickly lose shape and turn into liquid. No effect to burning. Short lived solidified state achieved with liquid nitrogen freezing, then a gradual return to normal even after continual exposure. In pure liquid state (after destruction of gland) freezing is preserved. No adaptation. Return to previous state after freezing conditions are removed. No wear and tear observed.  

COMMON CHARACTERISTICS
 Theres never one identically same to another. Similar characteristics however can be found. Primarily a hollow center circled by sharp 'teeth' on one or both flat sides. More rarely the entire tube might be seen full of teeth. Round, flower/cog like exterior. Flatted surface. Leathery texture. Vertically stacked layers (closely can be described to the underside of a mushroom cap or pages).  

DILUTION
Preserves uniformity and does not get diluted.  

SEPERATING LIQUID BY MECHANICAL MEANS
 Achievable by slicing, or pinching off. Liquid merges back into an even puddle after pouring two seperate parts together.  

SINKING / FLOATING
Varied behaviors observed. 

VISION, HEARING, TALKING
 Typically no. Exceptions can be.  

SOUL POSSETION
A skinwalker themselves will claim everything living possesses that energy. As for a soul in a Theologic sense, that can not be factually provable or disprovable or observed by science. 

FERTILITY POTENTIAL
Technically not. To restore said skinwalker of who the gland belong to can be managed. But 'mating' substance used to procreate a new skinwalker into a host is believed to be different. Experimenting with gland liquid on animals has not returned a single successful pregnancy.  

INJESTIC LIQUID
No negative reaction. Liquid would travel and exit gastrointestinal tract unchanged in every instance. TASTE
unknown.

MOTION
YES. STATIONARY MOTION. INSTANCES OBSERVED WHEN PLACED ON THE 'WHEEL' SIDE THE GLAND TAKES A ROLLING MOVEMENT AIDED BY THE 'LEGS' OR RETURNS ITSELF WITH SEEMING DELIBERATE INTENTION BACK TO A FLAT LAYING POSITION. GOOD ELASTICITY; SNAPS TO PREVIOUS STATE WHEN PULLING STOPS.  

General note;The arguement could be made that this is the skinwalker's identity of creature in person. For if it is destroyed, the creature will cease sentience (life). The liquid stores memory within itself. And a rebirth can happen if it is fed into the proper environment, preserving same experiences, personality and individuality.
