First Name - The etymology of the name Asmodeus is not beyond any doubt but it is most plausibly derived from the Avestan words aēšma-and daēuua or their Middle Persian (Pahlavi) compound cognate xēšm-dēw, both meaning 'demon of wrath'.

Last Name - Campbell is a gender-neutral name of Scottish and Irish origin. Traditionally used as a surname, it translates to “crooked or wry mouth.”

Nickname:

He doesn't enjoy having nicknames and prefers being addressed by Asmodeus.

Age:

26 - 31 years old in physical form, but he is centuries old (This is very much dependent on the roleplay partner and their tastes, as I'm not bothered as long as he stays within this age range)

Asmodeus was conceived in Hell, but he was born in Kensington, London, to his demonic father and witch mother. His father is a politician and his mother being a model.

Zodiac:

Asmodeus is a Libra, he has a strong sense of justice and what's right and wrong, but often doesn't care about these things and follows his heart.

Height:

He is 6ft and 1 inch, although he seems much taller since he's got long legs.

Gender:

Asmodeus is a cisgender male, and is very comfortable with this, he's never doubted his identity nor has he debated it.


Orientation:

Asmodeus doesn't have a label that would define him, everyone has always been welcome to his pit of debauchery and fun. He doesn't have any preferences either. Although he is entirely respectful, he can be incredibly persuasive and demanding. He's used to getting exactly whatever he wants, and doesn't struggle to get it

Species:

Asmodeus is a demon. A Cambion to be specific.

Social Class:

Asmodeus is a demon, so class doesn't mean all that much to him, unless it's classifications of the demonic creatures and beings that he knows all too well. Money isn't a problem for him, and nor are material goods.

Appearance:

He stands well with good posture, with broad shoulders and a lean body. He's muscular and it shows, but he's also lean in a handsome way. His eyes are crimson. His hair is cropped to his jawline and its a shade of black similar to midnight or raven. He's pale, and has scars and the occasional tattoo over his biceps and chest. He has a black nose ring that he takes out a lot. His lower face has an amount of stubble.

Scars:

Asmodeus has a number of scars despite his healing abilities. They're mostly from working with his father, who's a right hand man to Satan himself, collecting souls that don't want to be taken.

Piercings:

He has a nose ring, but it irritates him sometimes so he takes it out.

Temper:

Asmodeus is known to have the same temper as his father, and can be incredibly ruthless and callous when he needs to be, although he prefers not to be and enjoys being kind when he can, if not a little devilish.

Habits:

Asmodeus smokes heavily. He's also an alcoholic.

Hobbies:

Asmodeus is a musician. He plays bass guitar, and can do backing vocals if needed, but he isn't the strongest singer. He can also play the fiddle, and has some knowledge and ability on drums as well.

He's a collector of old religious books and rare tomes on occult magick, rituals, and lore. He's passionate about these subjects, being a demon. He will often be found in his study.

Asmodeus enjoys learning languages and knows the basics in at least fourteen different languages. He's interested in other cultures and lifestyles, and actively enjoys travelling when he can.

He also likes swords and has a small collection of them with no regard to the laws. Asmodeus is a talented swordsman and fencer as well. He enjoys staying active.


Personality/Background Information:

Asmodeus was raised by his father. His mother was rarely in the picture emotionally, and when she was, she was too obsessed with his father to care for him. He spent most of his time alone, and often kept his circles small. When he was younger, he'd often steal his father's liquor and continue to drink at his current age; he's probably an alcoholic, but he doesn't see it. He craves control in his life, Asmodeus will do anything to maintain this standard.

He's never been married, but he's been with plenty of people. He doesn't currently have anybody, but he doesn't see that as a bad thing. Asmodeus, being a demon, wants to find someone who can be easily corruptible; he craves that power over them. However evil and charming he may come across as, Asmodeus isn't the best at expressing himself, so his actions often come across as misunderstood. He had a somewhat strange childhood but he always plays it down and doesn't want to face it.

Asmodeus is mildly anti-social but somewhat confident as well. He isn't necessarily shy at all, but he doesn't always enjoy being around the company of others. He is easy to gain obsessions, and can become fixated, but he also lives dangerously too. Taking impulsive risks and reckless behaviour following him everywhere he goes. Asmodeus is mature, both emotionally and intellectually, but he demands control over everything in his life. He can be incredibly cruel to others when he wants to be, but this doesn't mean that he's unpopular. People respect him, but they also fear him to some degree.
