Sallius The Corrupted

In his younger years Sallius was a hero in a group of adventurers. They were pretty good too, but one mission went bad. They met a foe they could not quell a patron of warlocks who loved to prey on children her name is Astrial, one by one the members of their troop their family fell. In the end after his best friend their cleric Sheila fell to the dark powers of Astrial and died. His family laid at his feet almost driven mad by the grief he had one horrific idea. He broke an oath he swore to never breach, he spoke his cursed chant to bring the dead back. He forced the entire party back up as undead, horror on their faces as their souls realized what had happened. They pushed Astrial out of their realm and forced her to have to retreat for years to heal. But at the end His family cursed him with their final breaths on the plane never to die a mortals death. it broke his already crushed soul, the last words he ever heard from his best friend was how could you do this to us. His heart died that day but his spirit dwelled in the husk that is his body. Now he walks the lands he freed working for who ever is willing to pay the most coin.
