⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Wylie's childhood would seem wrong to some normal folks. To Wylie, this was family life in Franklin County, West Virginia. His parents SEEMED dirt poor. His father, Sutton, had a knack for making the best 'white lightning' in the state. You couldn't have an illegal moonshine business without the bloodhounds and the golden badges sniffing out your operations. Wylie got his hard-headed attitude from his Pops.

When the 5-0 caught wind of Sutton's illegal moonshine operations, Sutton didn't go down without a fight...a firefight that is. Sutton died in the line of fire, guns blazing like a real outlaw. Wylie saw his father go down in cold blood. His mother knew it was game over. In the maddening hopes that Wylie could carry on the 'family business,' she disclosed to Wylie where their savings were stashed. All of their untaxed money rested under an ole Magnolia tree by the Pigg River.

With the money, Wylie relocated and rebuilt his family's name in a new location, Harlan, Kentucky. He learned to stand on his own two feet with the help of a Harlan native named Bo. Together they made the Banks Moonshine business as lucrative as it had ever been.
