Aventurine He doesn't confirm nor denies being northern, despite he definitely is not. He literally uses makeup to look lighter in skin.
«I believe it's a very legit fear. Also since pickled plumberries won't replenish themselves and I'd end up running out of them and starve, eventually.»
He is confused by her behaviour, not being a particularly empathetic person. «Sure, it would work,.why not. They don't know you even, so they wouldn't think it was all just a plan.»
He sighs. «But we have to be careful. If we are seen keeping an eye on it, the whole plan might fail.»

BOOM She ponders his words. "...so...what you actually fear is being abandoned and starve?" She realizes too late she might be touching some delicate matters. She looks away. "You don't need to answer...
We will give it a try. We might be lucky and get our chance...we need to identify them too, first. We can't allow ourselves to approach the wrong person."

Aventurine He looks up at her words. «Isn't that something anyone would fear? Dying of starvation surely isn't a pleasant way of passing.» He sounds a little less chill when staying that, but keeps his composure.
«It should be easy. There surely are portraits of the King and the royal family around, no?» Maybe miniature statues of Rex Lapis, at most, they aren't as self centered as the imperial family in Great Huang.
«We can't be explicit in any way, with anyone.»

BOOM She notices his change, kinda freaking out. "You are right, it is horrible and no one would possibly accept such a thing."
She slightly nods. "Tomorrow we'll begin and report to each other in the evening, if we find anything...
