- English was one of the few subjects I passed in school. I had a college reading level by the time I was in 4th grade. While I wasn't interested in English class in my last year of high school, my teacher passed me with a C when he discovered I was writing a novel.
- I'm a former traditional artist, and writer/illustrator of graphic novels. Arthritis in my hands pushed me to get into digital art. My interest in the literary arts replaced this hobby.
- I wanted to be a comic book artist, but I didn't pursue that dream later in life.
