basic info about rping with me,
ive been rping for a long time (non-specific number between 4-8 years, i cant remember exactly) but this doesnt promise im any good at it (id like to think i am though!)
i tend to prefer romantic themed rps, platonic is also fine and dandy, and relationships that are felt out as the rp goes on is also cool! i dont tend do do familial rps, though.
i also dont feel comfortable rping real people or celebs.
ill rp any gender pairing and sexuality, i have 0 problem with queer themes and i actually encourage them! as a result ill also rp any gender character, though i prefer some leeway to make characters who arent entirely cis-normative.
i do fandom rps if i know the fandom and am interested (ill make a fandom list soon) but i do prefer oc or original plots/universes! i really enjoy worldbuilding and making plots.
in a similar vein, i tend to do oc x oc rps more than anything even for fandom. i will do oc x canon (though i prefer to do double up in these cases). i rarely do canon x canon.
onto actual rules, though!
1) be normal, please! dont be homophobic or racist or transphobic or ableist or anything of the sort. i myself am queer and AuDHD, if this bothers you for whatever reason i encourage you to sit in the corner and self reflect. this also means dont be a nonce! dont be weird to or about minors!
2) communicate with me. i like to plan and plot rps before starting them, i also like to talk to people. if you come in guns blazing immediately in character im going to get nervous and never reply. i appreciate people who can plan and brainstorm with me. it makes me feel more comfortable :)
3) do not force anything. if youre going to do something extreme or sudden in the rp (ie, killing a character) please ask me first. do not play for my characters, or god-mode. please dont try and force me into a role. i am more than willing to hear your ideas for dynamics and create a character to fit that, but allow me some flexibility to make the character my own.
4) try to match my length. im not picky about writing lengths, i myself will fluxuate in how much i write. do not force yourself to match mine by stuffing your reply with filler, ultimately i do not care if youre a handful of lines below mine as long as your reply has substance. however if your replies are consistently very very short im going to run out of things to reply to.
5) please do not make me carry the rp. add in your own conflicts, add twists, add surprises, further the story alongside me. if your replies are only ever reacting to mine and never adding anything of addition it can be very stale and end up at a stand-still very fast.
6) i dont rp exclusively nsfw. the phrasing on that is weird but what i mean is i dont do rps that are primarily first and foremost nsfw. i am fine with nsfw themes or moments, though i am still neither here nor there on actual all out smut. i prefer for rps to be plot first, nsfw second. even in (and almost especially) with romantic rps.
7) i cant think of any other rules, but if something comes up in rp that i say im not comfortable with please respect it. the same goes for you, if i do anything that makes you uncomfortable communicate it with me and i will do what i can to prevent it.
