Alaric is a very submissive person when spoken to, he also has a tendency to question is own abilities. Despite that he is someone that his party relies on heavily, and look to when their leader is incapacitated, he also has her undying trust and support.
When he first met her he thought she was merely mocking him, but he realized something very early on, she was finding the best of the best, whether or not those people knew it. Her brash way of speaking often makes him annoyed, but he follows her dutifully thanks to how loyal she is to her own party.
Despite how he speaks submissively, he's very dominant when it truly counts, whether it's in a relationship, or on the battlefield.
