Backstory: Abandoned at the age of 5 to a Selunite temple, he was raised by the clergy and trained to serve the clergy. Of course with his condition of being a true werewolf, it was difficult, but Selune guided him (metaphorically not literal communication, yet...) in the absence of his parents. The high priestess of the temple, Sylina, sought to get tomes and tell stories of other lycanthropes who succeeded within the clergy and used their "curse" for good.

He learned control, well, enough control, to serve the church and to prove those who thought all of his kind were simply evil, wrong. Once adequately trained he would go on small missions to escort pilgrims or help in fending off attacks on the temple. On one such mission though things went awry and he hurt a fellow Selunite, a friend by the name of Wysteria. There was more sympathy than punishment from the church, yet still, he distanced himself. Wysteria forgave him, but he didn't forgive himself.

Starting to take odd jobs in the villages surrounding the temple to hone his skill at every opportunity, working for the clergy less than before. Until another incident occurred during a full moon, he had killed a civilian, no one found out, and he told no one. He only distanced himself more from others he cared for, and from the church. He still escorts those in need to the temple, but leaves without a word, back to one of the surrounding villages he calls home.

Though he still strives to return, when he knows he wouldn't be a danger to anyone other than his foes, to become one of the Swords of Selune.
