~Across the land exists a number of shrines corresponding to one of six mythical deities~

~The Dragon God, The Phoenix God, The Cerberus God, The Pegasus God, and The Griffin God~

~In dire times, many have been known to seek out these shrines to pray to the Gods for deliverance~

~This process will yield favorable results at a steep price, depending on the God in question and his/her conditions~

~Once a contract has been established, deviating from that God's will can prove catastrophic for all parties involved, resulting in them being labeled deviants~

~Penalties vary from one God to the next, but presently, only Melody's dragon mutation is known~

~This contract highlights a fundamental difference between manmade pacts and divine vows, basically drawing a clear distinction between the deceit of humanity and the honor of the Gods~

~Iris actively ignores the existence of these shrines as she's a proud Atheist. Instead, she arrogantly prioritizes manmade tools out of spite to the Gods~
