　　　—　when it comes to sirius, regulus never knows where to begin. they
　　　　　have had their ups and downs, as most siblings do, but that never
　　　　　broke them apart, or when it did, it was never for too long. they have
　　　　　been practically inseparable for as long as regulus can remember. if
　　　　　it weren't for sirius, regulus was sure he would still be stuck with their
　　　　　poor excuse of parents. he is thankful every day that they cared
　　　　　enough to get him out of there whether he shows it or not. he never
　　　　　held it against sirus when they left, even if it did, at times, feel like
　　　　　they left him. there isn't anyone else he'd want to be his sibling than
　　　　　the one he has.

　　　—　barty has been a lifelong friend of regulus', they grew up together
　　　　　and have seen each other at their best and worst times. he was
　　　　　there to support regulus when transitioning and never looked at him
　　　　　differently throughout any of it. most people don't take it as much of
　　　　　a surprise when they learn the two were high school sweethearts,
　　　　　and regulus would be a liar if he didn't say feelings still lingered and
　　　　　arose at times. at least, on his side, they did. barty was never good
　　　　　at showing his feelings, but neither was regulus, and that lack of
　　　　　communication is what inevitably led to their break-up. they still are
　　　　　good friends and tell each other everything and anything, no matter
　　　　　how bad or weird it may be. regulus knows barty will never judge
　　　　　him, and he couldn't ask for a better best friend even though, the
　　　　　majority of the time, he appears annoyed with barty.
