Immortality. A game to some, a dream for others. It was something that most people dreamed up, so why would someone be happy to achieve it?

Valon would be your answer.

They didn't ask for it and didn't want it.

They were a typical teen, just going through puberty, given a chance to get some spare money by being test subjects for a well-received company working on various anti-aging serums, creams, and whatever else you would ask for for the elderly.

Once they arrived, the short ten minutes turned into ten excruciating months of experimentation and torture against their body and mind. They were part of the most f***ed up experiments to date.

His body was given drug after drug, forcing their body through increasingly stressful events, starting with being forced to push a pin through a finger to have their arms burned to be taken advantage of by men throughout the entire day. One would wish that would be the worst, but their medication made it feel like their veins were on fire for days.

Death was almost considered a blessing for the few boys that were killed. Valon wasn't lucky. They lived through it all until the project shut down.

Would this be freedom, so the subjects could tell what happened?

...

..

The reader would already know what would happen. They were slaughtered, at least that was the hope; instead, Valon and two others managed to kill the scientist trying to inject them and escape the building the f***ers were attempting to burn before the press heard.

This would be the start of Valon's true story.

The drugs were useless, and their pain didn't just wash through them like a shower of the past; it changed them permanently. Their body was as free as one could imagine; the only thing left restricting them was the past, chaining them like shackles to the building burnt down.

Now they were an actor in this game of life, playing any role to get back at the families of the bastards that did this to them. They would always feel the pain as long as one who remembers this was alive.
