The year would be 2200 nuclear warfare would be no longer a worry.
A virus broke out in New York and 1000's of people were affected. Those not affected live in groups/gangs or isolated from conflict. Water still works yet power doesn't and people still trying to survive.

My O.C is traveling the rundown roads of New York when he spots your O.C in a mall among others. This is where our Oc's stories start.

Plot: Your O.C has to survive with the mind of a zombie in this changed world.
Not alone but with my O.C as well protecting her while she fights with him.
The way she was turned was not buy a bite but by a scratch. The significance of that is that she didn't get fully turned. Her personality is still intact and her primal/natural instincts. (I'll name them if you want me to.)

She will have superhuman abilities but those are up to you.
