But you make me feel some type of way

( His life )

What is he like?
Kairo’s personality varies from person to person in order to benefit him rather than them. It’s the safest possible option for him, having worked with criminals for the best part of his life. He could easily be the sweetest person someone were to know, wanting them to feel comfortable in his presence, but he could also be the nastiest. It wasn’t that he wanted to fit a standard of any sort, but rather that he didn’t want certain individuals to walk all over him if he showed even a glimpse of kindness, thus people had to work to see that nicer side of him - even people he considered his friends had to at one point as well. Sure, he may be working towards being a lawyer, but that doesn’t mean he’s the most well behaved individual out there, he just knows his way around the law well enough to get away with everything. Plus, he has a pretty face, so who'd suspect him, right?

Why is he like that?
Kairo was the first and only son born to a couple of criminals, both of which had ties to the mafia and notorious gangs in both China and Korea. This meant that Kairo rarely ever saw his parents as they were always out pulling stunts, with his father running off to China every now and then to keep his name known there. Kai was too naive to know any of what happened, even once his parents eventually packed up and moved to Beijing with him upon him turning 6. It wasn’t until he got older that he realized just what his parents were up to and how they had law authorities on their backs which led to them evading the place he had grown up in, in Korea. Due to his parents’ wrongdoings, they were constantly locked up and Kairo would go weeks, possibly even months without seeing at least one of his parents. This meant he was left to fend for himself, not knowing when he’d next see at least one of his parents. It was just a matter of time until local authorities found out he was a child living alone. But apparently that never happened. This was a constant struggle for Kairo up until he turned 10 which was when his mother had finally gotten herself clean and able to get back to her life. Kairo’s father, however, had been jailed for 8 years due to various charges he had on his name, meaning he would just about get out of jail before Kairo came of age. Though, this was where Kairo’s mother believed taking her son back to Daegu to live out his teen years was the best idea. So that’s what happened. He got back to Korea and started high school not long after, but his mother gradually got worse and resorted back to her old ways for money. As whilst they were in Korea, Kai’s mother was in and out of jail which left the teenager alone again. Though he gradually made it, finishing school when he was 18. By this time, however, he had received news that his father’s time had been extended due to many attempts to escape. By this point, he had made his mind up about what job he wanted to go into and funnily enough, it was law. However, there were other motives behind it as he knew his parents would have somehow gotten him involved with their own issues so he’d need a way to cover himself up and get out of trouble. Plus, he didn’t want others to go through the same things so by becoming a lawyer, he’d not only help himself, but he’d help out others regardless of if they were involved in crime or just had general lawsuits.

Honey trapper?
Whilst partaking in his course at university, Kairo had taken on multiple jobs from time to time so he was able to help fund his education since his parents were of no help. Plus he had to cover any expenses he has with his accommodation since he had left home as to not be associated with his parents anymore. Instead, he got himself his own apartment which was big enough for himself plus another individual should he want a roommate. Though, it came with a price. His body. While Kairo wasn’t someone that necessarily cared about his appearance, others did and they often found him rather pretty so he eventually used it to his advantage. He started off with working in a nightclub as a bartender which got him a decent income to fund everything. But that also meant there was a variety of men and women attracted to the young male, wanting to get into his pants to put it lightly. Originally, he kept away due to having a girlfriend at that time which he had been with for a little over a year since they turned 17, now almost turning 19. But due to problems they both had, they broke up which left him a little bummed. Though due to it being mutual and on good terms, it wasn’t something he completely hated. But due to working at the nightclub, he had constantly seen paper ads hung up and around which his boss had made clear he wanted down should they were appear on the walls. So one night, when Kai had seen the papers hung around his bar, he pulled it down, examining it to see it was a poster about offering honey traps, with the fine print adding the company was in need of individuals who would be willing to help. Kairo being the person he is, decided to apply for it, securing the job shortly after an interview which proved to him being pretty came in clutch, so did being young since most people were weird like that. Though, he had clear rules that despite he was honey trapping people, he should never end up in bed with them. He could lead up to it, but never go as far as sleeping with them. So on occasion, he was hired out to do his job alongside working at the bar, which helped him financially. Sure, it wasn’t the best of jobs, but it was what tied him over, especially once his daughter was born.

His daughter?
When Kairo was 21, he had gotten his ex girlfriend pregnant due to both having had one too many drinks which led to the two in bed together. By time he was 22, he was bestowed a beautiful daughter, who they named Iseul, but neither him or his ex wanted to get back with one another, preferring to just co-parent Iseul instead and stay friends. However, things turned sour when Iseul turned 1 as Kairo had too many people on his back due to his ties to the mafia in both Korea and China which unfortunately lead to Iseul’s mother’s death, leaving Kairo as a single parent. Although he was not directly involved in anything his parents had done, he was the one to suffer the consequences. From then on, he prioritised his daughter more than anything, not letting anything happen to her. But compared to how he is with other people, his personality with his daughter is far different. He almost acts as if he’s also a 3 year old, completely relaxing around her and becoming a different person altogether. Though since the birth of Iseul, he had gradually simmered down, his personality becoming less stoic and slightly more gentle, but still he kept up a guard. A façade if you will. It was how he learnt to survive after all.
