Serene is freshly bitten when her/his family was attacked by a Vampire from the terrorist group Malignis. In the attack her/his parents were murdered leaving her/him alone with her/his 8 year old brother Corby who is still human. She/he has struggled greatly battling depression and at times knowing from having to leave everything behind and starting a new life. Hallucinations take over her/him at times for a hunger she/he can never seem to quince and with Corby around she/he could mistake him for a meal. While crying in the pouring rain begging for God to take this curse from her/him she/he is invited and joins a secret support group downtown for newly changed vampires but what she/he doesn’t know is that these new vampire have plans to change the world.
