Cass’ behaviour depends a lot on her environment. She might be very confident in one place and incredibly shy elsewhere. That said, she’s really calm and patient which led her to make strong connections with her friends.
In the past, Cass struggled with substance abuse and extreme depression which she has been able to move past thanks to therapy and a great support net.

History

Cassandra came out at a very young age which ruined her relationship with her parents. She was put in conversion therapy at 13 which took a massive toll on her mental health. By 16, she had mostly stopped interacting with her parents and peers, finding shelter in older groups of people. This wouldn’t turn out great for her, finding herself stuck in toxic relationships and terrible friendships. She started abusing substances at around this age, using them as a way to cope with everything that was going on.
Living as a somewhat functional drug addict, she went to college for a couple of years before dropping out.
Set on turning her life around, Cass sought all the help she could get, slowly saying goodbye to her drugs and hello to a new life.
It’s been two years and nowadays she finds herself in a great place. She is scarred for life, yet her friends, wonderful job, free time and recent girlfriend have made her happy.

She mostly spends her day working at a records shop, where she chats with the regulars.
