general description: At 5’9 or 175cm, Isaac is a bit taller than most of his friends. His body is built for racing, slim and quite lean allowing what muscle mass he does have to show even in the most unflattering of lighting. His medium skin stays that way as he’s always in a vehicle. When his peanut brown hair isn’t in a bun, it reaches down to his nipples; however, it mostly stays in a large twisted bun with the full side going back. His eyes shine in the sun almost like a hazel, but they’re light brown. Isaac does wear glasses that are black and are that of a curved square. The two gauges in his earlobes are black and only the width of a pinky finger. His face is oval shaped yet not too sharp at the bottom, sort of a nice middle ground between sharp and circular. He does have facial hair however he keeps it at a five o’clock shadow.

As stated above, he’s toned with little body fat allowing the muscle to peek through and be defined. This is all throughout his body. The only ink he has is down his left pectoral and down his heart to be more specific. It’s a simple bold peace symbol above a simple Japanese flag. Neither of these are very big, about an apple’s size. The circle in the flag is colored red.

There’s nothing else remarkable about his appearance. His fashion isn’t anything to write home about either. On a regular day he opts for shorts and a hoodie preferably a darker color. He wears Vans as well. During any practice or drift event he does wear full race gear. This includes a fire-resistant suit, some gloves and shoes, and a balaclava under his racing helmet. His helmet is customized with both Japanese cultural art on one side and American traditional art on the other. He always wears a modern styled watch wherever he goes.

positive traits: Isaac can be methodical, careful, focused, and patient. This all comes from years of driving both for practice as well as professionally. He is also compassionate not only to his teammates but his opponents as well. Outside the car and track he’s quite sociable and friendly. No one can truly dislike him.
negative traits: He is a bit of a daredevil and cocky and often can attempt to pressure someone into doing something while they’re driving.
strengths: He’s very good at driving and swinging a car around and his dedication to his dream career is second to none. He’s a good listener and a good talker too.
weaknesses: He’s a bit of a hooligan and how he acts around his friends can bleed out a bit into daily life. As stated above, he likes to pressure people while in a vehicle.
phobias: His only fear is losing his opportunity to be a part of the professional drifting scene. It takes a lot of money and hard work to be at the top level.

habits: Due to loving his vehicles he’s now a neat freak. He doesn’t exactly like it when things are dirty and always tries to clean up if he has time. Another habit is that he likes to “gossip”. While not exactly an actual gossiper, he does it for the media. It’s a bit of a staple in motorsports.

A couple of bad habits is that he talks with his hands excessively which can get a bit annoying; the second one is that he’s gung-ho, always ready to go and always excited to do bad ideas. When he can, he offers a helping hand to his fellow competitors. He doesn’t get mad if someone crashes into him or spins him out too much. It’s all part of the sport. He’s more concerned if they’re okay or not.
hobbies: Isaac loves to go to car shows, both motorsport ones as well as regular car meets. He’d always wanted to go to the different famous car museums, as well as headquarters.

Even though he lives here now, he likes to go around Tokyo and see what it all has to offer even if he’s been around it a hundred times already. It gives him a feeling of nostalgia and a warm fuzzy feeling, as if he’s seeing it for the first time again.

Isaac has always been a decently social person and loves spending time with his friends. If not in the car, then going out for boba. Boba is a close second than drifting.

brief summary: Olivia and Benjamin Thompson had Isaac Zane Thomson on Halloween in ‘96 in Brooklyn. Olivia had him during her ophthalmology residency while his father Benjamin had just begun practicing as a psychiatrist. Even though both of his parents have medical degrees, however, this doesn’t mean his life was fed to him from a silver spoon. Throughout his life he’s had to go through it like most people, being taught that school was the best thing since sliced bread, get a job, go to more school, work hard; and that he did.

However, it was pushed a bit too much. Medical school is one of the hardest things someone can go through academically; so the idea of being the best you can be academically was pushed onto Isaac throughout his life. His parents were and still are nice enough, but they wanted him to be the best at school and would often hint at going to some top schools across the country. Money wasn’t an issue as long as he showed that he’d be a top student. This would go on until he graduated high school.

When he was seven years old, Isaac would be subjected to what would be his career. The D1 Grand Prix had come to America. As like any little kid would feel, he liked seeing all the cool cars with wacky colors and words splashed across them. The smoke that came from the rear wheels, the excitement of the announcers. He instantly fell in love with the cars from Japan and seeing the cars pull mind bending angles. He knew then and there that drifting is what he was going to do when he was older.

Throughout school, he would get As and the occasional high B. It was stressful, having his parents press him to do better and better with each passing year. He would get his license at 17 as well as his first car courtesy of his parents. A clean looking Nissan 350z of that year. This is where he would begin what he was dreaming about for the past ten years. He instantly started to do reckless things, trying out what he saw all around New York City. It was one of the only things that could ease the pressure of his parents.

By the time he graduated high school he’d had enough of the stress and iron fist his mother and father put on him about schooling. They damn near wanted him to be a doctor it felt like. Using the money he had saved up until that point he packs his bags for Tokyo. He was a city boy after all. He just wanted to get away from everything. With that being said, with bags packed, money in his pocket, his car shipping overseas, his academic career under his belt, and his dreams to hold onto, he flies away as far away from home as he could.

It wouldn’t take him long to get into the car community in Japan as it’s rich within the country. He would attend meets and car shows, eyes boggling at all the cool cars he saw, even the ones from TV were there. Being in Tokyo felt like a second home to him. Occasionally he’d get in with the wrong crowd and drift with them, attempting to show them what he knew. These guys overseas, however, were on a different level. Eventually, he would run with an illegal drifting crew who would drift along the outskirts of the city as well as along the mountain side, showing off the skills of a drifter from America.

He would grow to know them and hang out with them every chance he could get, improving his skills in a car over the next five years and being one of the best in his friend group. Soon enough, an opportunity had shown itself in the form of one of his friends saying he should go to the Advan Drift Meeting to see if he could qualify for D1. The first go around (no pun intended), he gets runner-up and the second time around he gets to the top of the championship table.

He showed off what he’d learned from his time with his friends and he would be accepted into the D1 Divisional series in the central division and put himself in the spotlight. He would compete in this series and only in the central division until he could get his car up to spec for D1 Lights and compete there under Realstyle alongside other sponsors.

Two years later he would catch the eyes of Team Orange during practice runs as well as competing for Realstyle and was given an opportunity to drift alongside them in the D1 Grand Prix. Since he’s drifted along his friends for years now, the side by side drifting that Team Orange is known for came somewhat natural for him during their practices. He was also good at solo runs and scoring a decent amount of points.

As of this year he’s won a few battles yet hasn’t broken the top three as a champion contender and never has been a champion contender. With Team Orange he’s traveled not only all of Japan but the world performing at motor shows and race meets.

At 26, he’s taken some time from Japan to visit his parents back in Brooklyn and has thought about different avenues such as Goodwood as a break from the drifting. So far in his lifetime it’s been one hell of a ride. Who knows what the next year will bring him.
_______________________________________________________________

Hi there, Fear again. Researching all of this has been a hassle, more than my other OC. Everything is in Japanese and the teams are a bit weird when it comes to D1 Lights. A lot of these competitors have their own shops, they own these cars, and its a lot different from mainstream motorsports.

This is just a base I have that I will continue with in the near future. I'm sorry for the mixed-mashed backstory.
