Her Backstory

Born and raised in the bustling city of Atlanta, Georgia, Latoya Jackson, known fondly as Miss Jackson, grew up in a tight-knit and supportive family. Her parents, James and Lorraine, instilled in her the values of hard work, determination, and respect for others. Latoya's younger brother, Marcus, has always looked up to her as a role model.

Growing up in a predominantly African American community, Latoya was inspired by the strength and resilience of her people. She developed a deep appreciation for her cultural roots and the importance of preserving the history and traditions of the African American community. This passion led her to study African American Studies and Education at Spelman College, where she graduated with honors.
