{Vincent P. Ciampa} OPEN OC

"Be wary of creating a man with nothing left to lose; for he will sacrifice that 'nothing' for a chance at everything, and until the flames of that fire are smothered, all may as well burn with him."

─━━━━━━⊱༻♚༺⊰━━━━━━─

⚜Full name: Vincent Pierre Ciampa
(Other Aliases: "The Angel of Death")

⚜Gender: Male {He/Him}

⚜Age: Mid to late 40’s

⚜Heritage: Italian/English

⚜From/Born In: Rural Italy
Later settles in Vail, Colorado, USA

⚜Family Background: Unknown (In Progress!)

⚜Personality: {ENTJ-A}
In the beginning, Vincent was always an extremely confident and naturally charismatic yet, respectfully commanding personality. A natural born leader and extrovert, he always stood firm in his beliefs; strong willed. Extremely intelligent and methodical, Vincent made an inspired and well-respected name for himself throughout many successes and achieved goals. Though at times he can be more reserved and quite stubborn, he never fails to pass along an otherwise powerful and vibrant energy to any environment. Perhaps at times such obvious displays of submission regarding his natural dominance/assertion to any crowd he’s in has allowed him to develop a sense of vanity, but not growing overtly blinded by it. He is a man who never failed to give up and also sought to build others up in finding their own personal strengths and maximized potential within, perhaps a little too firmly or strongly at times which can come across as quite demanding (but of no negative connotation)! Always being seemingly two steps ahead and able to work diligently and composed under pressure or sudden uncertainty, it’s obvious he relies more on his head than with his heart. Vincent was also one who strictly never dared to be just a “follower” in anything or follow suit in any “herd mentalities” but pursued to be his own greatness instead. In his story later on of course, he sadly wasn’t immune however to how easily he would become vulnerable in being snared into much darker territories that targeted his very deep rooted weaknesses and generational flaws. Though he may have already been a huge accomplishment in attaining everything in life that he wanted, his biggest downfall was mainly in the case that he never really did see what immense eminent fortunes he always had and then some. Often feeling like it was ever “good enough” and strived to be pushed and pushed for a magnificence in which many often spoke about and assumed that possibly nothing could ever be enough for him--not even perfection itself. He carried his own “demons” inside in which the world knew nothing about until they basically devoured him from the inside out very tragically and thus then caused depravity upon the world.

At the inception of his rapid decline and mental collapse, Vincent is extremely turbulent, volatile and becomes very obsessive. Driven by irrational and strong temptations and his absolute desire for perfection, he becomes that of a narcissistic and extremely selfish person who is comparable to that of a sociopath, lacking all prior morale and empathy. Possessive, controlling and often fluctuating from intense order to eccentricity, it is within his spiral down into insanity that leaves him almost unrecognizable to everyone as he abandons all structure, ideals and basic humanity and thus embraces that evil and yes, all “seven deadly sins” --mainly lust. Unknown to the outside world at first due to how well he plays his change off to snare others in (unless of course you are deemed "worthy" enough for his company), he becomes cunningly deceptive, collective and manipulative (even so much as enjoying gaslighting and toying with those around him to keep an “upper hand” over them) and really, in the end --just about every vile thing you can imagine in this world--he has done in one form or another and gotten away with. His once genuine beliefs become extremely twisted/perverted in his new evolution and of all the hell he has created and done, have even got him dubbed as being the “Devil” himself. However, there are very rare moments where his clarity does randomly return to him almost as if there is still a small part left within trying to hang on to the man he was before. In this case, he is known to be very frantic, remorseful, filled with grief, regret and so desperate sometimes he becomes nearly catatonic. Though these periods are often short-lived, he does everything to try to maintain/keep this fragmented soul and humanity. His absolute willingness to repent all his errors. Yearning for redemption, Vincent in these brief minutes, hours, or sometimes even days is truly sincere and never fails to confess all his wrong doings all that he can while he is aware or will appear extremely chaotic in terms of both emotions and attempts to “cleanse” himself for forgiveness.
Nevertheless, in the end-- he becomes and is nothing more than a tormented soul; haunted and tortured when he isn’t constantly consumed and relishing in his lack of spirit, but without a doubt has accepted his fate into “hell” when he does find those fleeting moments of humanity again. Otherwise, Vincent was just an unfortunate soul inside to start with from the beginning of his upbringing with his frailty against his ultimate desire of power and control (perhaps even that being a hereditary “curse” ) and a deeply subdued fear of worthlessness and imperfection.
-(If RPing with this OC expect a very firmly grounded personality and not afraid to reprimand or be extreme. I am not usually very flexible with his personality although I will consider your ideas and overall, the literal embodiment of intimidation in either role . Depending on plot, he can be in his typical affirmative persona, or the more darker twisted one. If YOU are playing him, feel free to wear his "skin" however you'd like/feel comfortable with! I ADORE people exploring my characters and presenting them in their creativity- so as long as it doesn't stray too far, please go for it!)

⚜Appearance: Green eyes, Dark and slight “salt and pepper” warm brown hair, Caucasian (Italian decent), 6”0 posh and average build. Vincent has always been known to be very well groomed/stylish and even seems to carry his conceit in his gait and gestures. Alluring and charming, very gentlemanly and usually always speaks with a warm, soft yet seemingly powerful tone. Slight English accent/ It’s always hard to tell what mood or what his intentions are since he is very good at maintaining a “poker-face” in any situation.
{For right now, his main inspiration in terms of "looks" would be comparable to the character of "Lord Asriel" from the "His Dark Materials" trilogy, specifically the James McAvoy version. Lol, I will try to link other examples/artwork soon!)

⚜Backstory: {This will often change depending on the type of RP and plot, but I will list the basic premise of his past even if it’s not mentioned or a big part in the story. This description is more in tune with my main supernatural genre, but can be altered- especially if you are playing him!}

~General: Vincent was born and raised in rural Italy 1976 where he grew up with his 2 other siblings and his mother and father. His mother was a humble, yet, hardworking woman who raised her children as well was a local baker and seamstress. Vincent’s father often traveled around Europe for business (mostly well paid “odd jobs”) or came and went around Italy as a carpenter to make extra ends meet for his family but was never once absent in Vincent’s life. Being born into a rather large, close but struggling heritage, Vincent’s family always managed to get by with what little they had. His upbringing did have a lot of hardship and stress, but there wasn’t anything he wasn’t willing to do to “hold his own” and make his family proud, often embracing all challenges that came forth. From a primary age, though he did get to celebrate most of his childhood, he matured quickly when it came time for him to “work”. Especially when his mother began to fall increasingly ill and unable to do a lot of basic tasks and responsibilities from her worsening chronic pain, being closest to her and harboring immense sympathy towards her plight. Around the beginning of adolescence, Vincent became interested in travel and wanted to expand his horizons in hopes to bring comfort and fortune to his mother, knowing all the sacrifices she had done for every one of them. His early years of working came and went without breaking a sweat, having been adapted to a life of labor and experiencing firsthand moments of poverty and vowing to never return to it again as his ambition took him all around Italy out of inspiration of his father whom he looked up to greatly…even when he had witnessed him gradually fall into a madness in which he was only warned was a generational “curse”. Not one to believe in superstition, he ignored all warnings from his closest family members, even so much as being told that the “Devil” often found his way into the hearts of many male members of his lineage, especially those like him who were all the more stubborn and prone to having an “impatient heart”. As a matter of fact, a large facet of Vincent was indeed his ever-growing desire for “perfection” which was really the result of merely untreated illness of OCD and his struggles environmentally (and not what his family had made him to believe was some hereditary “hex” from birth) which led him to be very critical in all aspects of life and often causing severe bouts of seclusion when his “high standards” weren’t met in his own form or timeframe.

Striving to rewrite the past and what he considered caused this “curse” of his, he left Europe and moved to the United States to pursue a larger career as an entrepreneur and eventually highly respected and successful industrialist. Once firmly established and moved on to the city of Vail Colorado, it was there that he met his first and only wife, Angelina, and settled down with her in what was in the beginning of a very promising and lovely relationship. Unexpectedly, he found out that she too had a very similar upbringing. Only the difference was, was that she was from a powerful matriarchal coven of spiritualists/witches who passed down to her her own unique abilities. They consisted of mainly powerful “celestial healers” and she had explained that their talents were only used for the good and benevolence of humanity, never for evil. Intrigued, Vincent was awestruck at his wife’s background and had begun to grow somewhat envious that he was only just merely “mortal” with more sin under his skin than anything mystical despite the unusual “heeding” he had been given by his own family. Though Angelina had introduced Vincent into her world and they had all welcomed him in with open arms, he still held a level of spite that the only “spiritual” notion about him was that of a negative connotation, but refused to entertain that he would ever allow anything as such to destroy him. Yet, wished that like her, it could have been more of a blessing.

For the longest time, everyone assumed that he was “set for life”. Plus, he had the reputation and achievements that were only ever “wished for” in life by so many. He prided on all his success and was even able to accomplish his goal of supporting his family back at home, keeping in touch all that he could, never losing contact. However, his darkest demons and fears still dwelled within him no matter how hard he tried to subdue and ignore them. They resulted in small manners such as “whispers at night” until they became more attentive, leading Vincent into becoming more entranced into his temptations and gradual decline into the darker areas of life--that being the occult and black magic. It became unnerving to him as they built up more and more within, the idea that he was being lured by the Devil himself, just as he had been warned and was beginning to correlate to his own father’s mental decline. Even beginning to display a lot of the same uncanny but troubling symptoms as well. Not to mention, his current path in life never seemed to be enough no matter how much he had or gained. Especially given he was finding a new goal in wanting to obtain his own supernatural “powers” just like his wife, refusing to believe that it was only hereditary within her and instead that anyone in the world could be granted such abilities if they tried hard enough. Vincent began to dive into these grave interests and paths of evil and hid his deeper and twisted curiosities from everyone, wanting to explore and engage in the unknown after one incident in particular came to him one night in which he was offered a chance at an even more elitist position of power in the world.

Again, he tried his hardest to fight against his mind, but the more he tampered and played with fire, the more it controlled him and spoon-fed him into a blissful delusion. In one case, the evil in which he was communicating with often (demons), told him that if he were to offer his wife by supplication and was misled under the pretext that these subtle “experimentations” on her—mainly in sleep--- wasn’t going to hurt her, that he would be immensely gifted for the sacrifice. Unbeknownst to him that this consent was a target for such spirits to drain/harvest her powers and would be the birth of his first act of what he would later call “extraction” into gaining his own invincibility and using her to be the first victim in driving him over the edge of being granted a front row seat in temporarily exploring around in that borrowed power. An art that would soon become an even more expansive project and the start of many programs to underground networks who would ally and buy his ideas.
Although, aside from this all happening behind closed doors that was slowly starting to make itself known in his behaviors, he abruptly found out that Angelina had become pregnant (despite her sudden decline/infertility in health and fortitude, and practically being near incapacitated from her husband’s betrayal) and thus bore his first and only child- his daughter Claire. Vincent immediately became a proud and happy father and found a lot of his clarity and purpose again in the first few years of her life. So much as forgetting his calamity and now wanting to give her the life he never truly had in consistent security/ not wanting to repeat a cycle. He and Angelina never failed to spoil and raise her to be basically the “darling” of the city, especially in her carrying his name with beloved and beautiful legacy. Growing extremely close to his daughter, he deeply valued the strong connection between them both, it reminding him of his own fond memories with his own mother who he still tried to stay strong for despite his increasing manifested hell. However, as Claire began to get older, he started to notice that she was a lot like her mother in the fact she showed signs that she too--was spiritually gifted; causing him to dawn on what the spirits he only assumed were that of “angels” had told him about there being a “divine gift” in his future, connecting him down to her. Relapsing back into the world of demons, he began to now make heavy pacts and desperately trying to deny that his daughter was to be anything but his baby, his joy and ultimately, life. Sadly, he once again grew distant and temperamental once he was running out of options to keep those evils at bay and all that was important to him, especially when he had attempted to completely burn everything and forget/move on. Once he was finding that he was being driven by intense lust and desperation for even more power after he realized that he did indeed manage to succeed in the impossible---developing his own supernatural abilities and partial immortality---from his work in creating a newfound project that granted them by means of his first victim in his wife, he became mad and tried to plea.

Vincent though was unsuccessful and only resorted into allowing the darkness which was controlling him to heavily target other innocents out in the world to feed and subdue his growing irrational desires and again, attempt to keep the ones he loved dearly, out of it. Try as he might, when he could no longer stand what he had become or could persevere any longer from his aching withdrawals of wicked pleasures, he sold his soul. Almost instantly, he found that he still maintained his consciousness rather than being possessed (or even killed) but realized that all previous aspects about his personality were perverted and totally made into the opposite. Coming to accept his new evolution, he was completely re-written to believe that his previous life had been meaningless all along and that the Devil was really the one who had all this time been trying to get him to “open his eyes”. That his family was keeping him from being what he always was meant to be as a now “Christ-like” God in the works and that he had been “delivered” from all human imperfection and limitations. With his detrimental decent, he now strived into achieving a rather irrational and bizarre goal that was a perfect hybrid “bloodline”. Despite this primary objective, he still casually enjoyed the lavish lifestyle he was granted and even greater rewards that came in committing some of the most disgusting and horrific crimes just to seal them into place.

But when Claire had entered her teenage years and began to really show just how powerful she was (even more so than her mother in that she possessed far greater abilities and multiple powers at that), he had found out that she had basically been his answer to everything he had been looking and striving for, even when he was just within his past fleshly vessel as an average man. That she was his “philosophers stone” foresay, and that she was what he needed to truly be anything and everything at the same time. He began to pursue her, becoming increasingly possessive and dangerously taboo or envious when she would attempt to make or spoke about a life outside of her home by her beliefs in helping humanity with her strong and overwhelming empathy.

When Angelina slowly began to piece the puzzle together about finding out about Vincent and his involvement into darker magic at first, she tried to approach him cautiously about it with much concern and love for her husband (unaware that he had already gotten far past just the surface level already) and even tried to involve/inform his family about his downfall. Unfortunately, she was met with an extremely harsh reality of abuse, violence and personal demonic attack from him and would regularly intimidate her to keeping her mouth shut. Vincent, not wanting her to discover more and wanted to keep lingering out this “game” he had been playing behind her back and even onto her, decided to instead begin to manipulate and brainwash Claire into not believing her mother and what she was trying to warn her about him. Also, making her new and sudden unstable environment seem normal and out of “protection” for her and that it was instead Angelina who was the crazy one who was against them and trying to drive their closeness apart, an enemy from her own “curse” being a witch. Unable to control his actions at times, even in front of her, it was increasingly apparent that Claire’s sincerity and benevolent nature would only believe this for so long before Vincent would only be met with another challenge. Finally discovering the truth of everything he had done and was still doing including his current objective towards their own daughter and the selling of his soul, Angelina tried to frame Vincent in an anonymous means to get Claire taken away from them by means of trying to spare her this new horrible fate. She knew he would suspect her in more obvious attempts at just leaving, but when this failed and only made it more apparent of her intentions, she was tortured severely. Making an unexpected escape one night, she tried frantically to save Claire-- but was killed by her husband who was fully possessed by insanity. Though, thankfully he was unable to snare Claire and lost her when she had fled their home and into the world after this attack.

Due to Claire’s own blessings of power and the Universe watching over her from the prayers of her mother before she passed, Claire was able to get a very big head start away from her father and become nearly covert. He now tries everything in his power to follow right behind her trail and bring her back and in keeping her to himself as a means to create yet another “impossible” which is that “perfect interdimensional bloodline” and containment/harvesting of her multiple and strong rare powers. Until the day he manages to finally and frankly kidnap her, he dampens his desperation and withdrawal with the capture, feeding and serial killings of other innocents like her or whose souls who have similar powers or abilities. In terms of still harboring a mortal form, his work has also become that of harvesting and selling those innocents’ purity and energy by his motive known as “extraction” and experimentation by means to supply to other evil organizations or elitists of the world, keeping his name alive just as it was before.

{Of course, there is a lot I need to work on since this is just a rough draft, but overall the firm basis of his character! Please forgive me for any “plot holes” and errors as well! I will do my best as it comes to me and makes itself known, but this is just a simple structure to an idea of who he is and as he comes to life in his own ways whether by my own playby or yours.}
