The Beast Within

First name; Kalos (Or Kal)
Last name; Talon
Age ; 20 during backstory act -
25 during Dark Passenger act 1 and 2 -
29 during time travel arc -

Appearance and Features ;
Kalos stands at an even six foot. Not too short or tall. He would be at peak physical conditioning of a human due to his training and constant battles in which he fought in.

His skin has very pale complexion.
From head to toe, his body is completely encased in a suit of heavy plated black armor with golden accents and engravings throughout. Alongside the design lies black and brown leathers that cover the most exposed spots whereas attire underneath he just wears a dark grey long sleeve shirt with buttons adorning the collar and the black and brown leathers mentioned before hand.

He wears a hooded grey cloak that covers a majority of the armor itself and the helmet he wears. The cloak is worn and very much tattered, it serves an importance to him as it belonged to his mother. The armor, belonging to his father but he added his own personal effects to the armor such as the reduction in weight to allow himself more mobility and swift movement at the cost of protection.

He has very short unkempt brown hair although later I he would grow his hair out along with his facial hair, sporting a big bun and a shortened beard as to be able to keep it from interfering with his helmet.
Hazel blue eyes would match perfectly with his complexion but he would later on adorn blood red (Glowing crimson when enraged) eyes richer than blood itself.

Personality ; Kal is very gentle when given the right context. Most of the people closest to him refer to him just being a grumpy big teddy bear due to the fact he almost growls or huffs at things he doesn’t like/doesn’t want to do. Having served in a high position as a knight, Kalos is very polite to his superiors and knows when to keep his mouth shut when given the circumstances. He however has a bit of a temper to match his playful demeanor as he can fly off the handle when people push him too far. He can be very hostile if displayed any jostle act or violence towards him as he is known to cut people down for just looking at him the wrong way.

Morally, he is conflicted with having to choose between his duty as a knight and his own heroic complex to save those he loves and cherishes. However, he has no hesitation whatsoever to kill someone or something that gets in between those two things.
Overall, he is generally a good person of moral standing but once his inner beast is unleashed, it’s best to avoid him.

Weapons and abilities ;
Kalos would be very proficient in sword and shield but sacrifices the protection of his “might shield” as he calls it for further use of his abilities. The shield itself was almost half the size of his body and was made from the same material as his armor would be set in, an enchanted steel plate with golden accents and engravings.

The sword in which he used is intended to be a two-handed sword as most greatswords are. Same materials as mention with the armor and shield but later on would use a broadsword with a Damascus finish and the hilt is from the greatsword he once used, being made from the same material.
He would have fitted in his gauntlets, two custom crossbows fitted to fire bolts and grappling hooks to be able to scale walls.

His hand to hand combat wouldn’t certainly not lack as he can single handedly take down many opponents within seconds but would much rather stick to cutting down his foes with weaponry.

Mastery level and legendary level Pyro control, Kalos would eventually have his limits as a mere human pushed as his soul becomes forged within the very fires of hell itself, giving him control over high concentrations of fire and even lava itself.
Within the flame control and mastery that comes with it, if pushed too far he will enter a three level limit breaking phase or phases.

First phase is Wrathful Form or Berserker Rage, within this phase, Kalos is a slight level beyond humanity, the fire in his soul burning deeply within him. Steam would start to rise from his armor as heatwaves would soon follow, all of his pyro magic would be much more potent and powerful. It would be the instances where molten fire would burst from his hands and would incinerate everything in his path, rather this form, most of his control over his mind is still intact but is much more on the rage induced side of mentality. It’s best to stay clear of him at this rate.

Second phase, Cobalt Blue. - Flames hotter than hell.
Within this form comes the change of his flames to a more refined blue, don’t let this pretty blue coloration fool you, they would soon as melt your down to your last atoms if even touched or remotely near. These blue flames would shroud Kalos like a cloak and he would start to show blue horns out from the sides of his helmet made entirely out of the fires itself. His eyes would glow an icy blue as well, showing his humanity is now gone, he is now the beast within. This form, his movement speed is doubled that of his normal speed, giving him a major boost in mobility as well as the ability to use the flames in which he commands under full control, regaining his senses from his latter form.

Final phase, White Cinders, ashes of the sun.
Within this form comes the duality of light and darkness, the white afterglow of a darkness embedded within a soul. Flames that were once dancing blue like the ocean or the deep blue sky, now have settled a lower somber white. These flames being the dangerous of all as they contain enough burning force to possibly melt away a planet at its very core. The flames would burn a very low output but high concentration. His body would be encased in the low flames as their give him a significant boost in defense as well as offense. He would use the flames to rebuilt his once mighty greatsword as the flames would assume the shade of a long refined double edged blade of pure white glow.
The flames have also been noted to produce an ungodly amount of radiation levels enough to damage an entire area for possible decades, possibly forever. These flames however do not die out once produced, constantly outputting but due to its slow burning much of its dangers will only be as potent if there was high concentrations. Having undergone multiple phases, Kalos would soon be warped into anything but human, he would stand at exactly seven foot five, towering over most in a monstrous fashion. His hands replaced with reddened claws of pure meat and gore, slow white wings formed by pure determination and intensity would burn over his back, these flames would actually serve as the most dangerous as to how much fire that would spread out to form these great beastly wings as they produce the most output, burning anything remotely close to him to absolutely nothingness.
These are just some of Kalo’s many forms, weapons, and abilities.

Backstory;
Kalos was just a young knight, like his father and his father’s father before him. He served his king faithfully under one day the king set Kal on a quest to kill a certain witch who knew the secrets of this much loved king. The king would hold the most land out of all the kingdoms and would naturally have the most powerful army along with it. Kalos served as the kings Crownsguard, protecting him personally and escorting him wherever he wanted. He also served as his most entrusted executioner if needed, just as his father was. The Talon family has also served the crown of kingdom for many generations so it was Kal’s duty to do his family proud by following tradition.

Kalos would set out to find this mysterious witch, going out to the furthest ends of of the world and many years would pass, eventually he would find this witch where she would of course engage in combat with Kalos. This battle raged on until the early dawn of day until the dead of night, the two combatants where tired and worn down as they decided to rest before the witch explained the true motives and truth behind the king. The king was a evil and dark being known as Caldwell, he harness the ability to control minds and force others into servitude and slavery. Something of course Kalos denied but started to question due to the kings harshness and cruelty as of late. He questioned his own morals but realized that for so long the kind was using this same control on him and now having being far from his reaches, he now had his own free will back in to possession.

He decided to form an alliance with the witch, she agreed to his decision. Upon sometime the witch would unlock Kalo’s true power, the same power that resided in all of the Talon family. She would reveal to him that her name was Marinn and that she was trained under Kalos’ mother. To which she gave him her tattered witches cloak and explained that it was Caldwell that killed his mother and wiped his father’s memories of the incident, later on had his father killed for regaining his memories and harnessing the Talon family flames. No one ever remembered the battle after the fact as Caldwell used his dark magic to erase his existence completely from the minds of all and just instilling that he was a faithful knight just like his son.

Marinn and Kalos would further explore the possibility of if Kal could even defeat such a dark and powerful being, to which Kalos would know that his abilities and prowess have become something his mind couldn’t understand but he knew that this new unlocked power would possess the many ancestors who held it before him. He knew he was ready.

The two would leave the safety of the far reaches of the world back into the now dangers that awaited the two.
Forever sealing their fates as they now how to slay the evil king himself and restore the world, freeing it from the darkness that now encases it.

Upon returning, they noticed that it was night time for the longest time, knowing this, they were quite confused. They were sure it was the work of Caldwell.

Something wasn’t quite right with the people as they acted much different, they would shamble around slow-like and droning. The people were being drained, life force and all, becoming husks as they called them. Upon seeing both Kal and Marinn, the husks would soon act hostile and try to attack both of the two.

After an onslaught of attacks by the husks, the two pair would emerge victorious but not with guilt as they fought them, the husks would scream and beg them not to kill them. That they were not in control.

This enraged Kalos as he used this guilt to further his hatred in Caldwell. He swore to defend his people and as a knight he failed. To turn your blade on those you swore an oath to is a direct neglect in duty. He would take off the cloak that hung from his back like a cape and tossed it aside before replacing it with the cloak of his late mother, dawning his status as a fallen former knight.

For the first time, he slowly took off his helmet and revealed a enraged vengeful look. His eyes would forever be stained by the blood he spilled as they would dawn his iconic blood red glow.

Onward he marched through the kingdom, slaying husk after husk until he reached the doors of the evil king himself, Marinn, followed suit but knew this was personal for the former knight, she wouldn’t dare get in his way as he has become something else altogether.

From there he tore down the doors in a might of rage and hatred. He had embraced what he had become and the killings of all the people he once protected surely didn’t do him any better, he marched towards the king as Caldwell had realized what Kalos had become and upon seeing Marinn with him, he knew that he couldn’t control Kalos any longer.

Soon after with no hesitation, Kal would unleash his fires of all phases and battled the king to which he was upon the losing side of the battle having being overwhelmed but the sheer darkness.
The king reached near victory within this battle as he did against Kalos’ father but soon realized that Kal was something much more powerful, upon turning the tides, Kalos reached his final phase which would nearly incinerate the vile evil in front of him.

The flames itself started to destroy the entirety of the castle and its surroundings areas, Marinn also became a slight victim of these flames as she was burned from being within the proximity of the white slow burning flames. Her wounds weren’t as grave however as he would retreat to a safe distance.

Knowing Marinn was far enough away he exploded his rage even more, as the slow flames grew higher, he pushed himself even further, the flames now burning faster and faster compared to the slow burn before.
He had enough and wanted to end this here and now as he reduced the entirety of the area along with Caldwell to nothing but particles and dust.

After the flames died down and slowed, a weakened Kalos would emerge not knowing what he has becomes. He wandered the ruins of what was left as he spotted Marinn, healing her wounds with various plants.
He felt a deep guilt in hurting her as he would turn his back and dissipate with the flames, not seen again.
