BACKGROUND:

Abigail Murray was born in Columbus Ohio on a perfect fall day to Natalie and Charlie Murray on September 28th, 1993. Charlie being a construction worker, and Natalie being a teacher at the elementary school nearby. The young couple's future was bright now that their family had been completed with a daughter.

When Abigail was six years old, her father started to drink after losing a high position at the construction company and quickly became very neglectful and abusive towards both Natalie and Abby, but her mother stayed true to her vows and always hoped he would change. To cope with her home life, Abigail took a liking to English pretty fast while she was in school and soon always had her nose in a book to always keep her mind away from the real world, and eventually began excelling in her studies as she preferred to be at school rather than at home. During high school, she fell in love with poetry and has loved it since.

During her sophomore year at Ohio State University, Natalie was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer, dying only a few months after the diagnosis. Abigail strayed from her studies to see her mother's belongings sorted out, but would return after a 2-week break to finish out her studies, graining her Masters in English at the young age of 24 years old.

~OPTIONAL ADDITION~

To celebrate this accomplishment, Abigail took a night to live the “College Life” her peers had always talked about- what she didn't expect was to get knocked up by a one-night stand named Bradley Hopper who wanted nothing to do with the baby. Ultimately Abigail decided the keep the baby. Jackson Edward Murray was born 9 months later, and a month after that? Abigail had left her job as a minor editor at the time, to pursue her dream of being an author. Money was tight as Abigail was just making royalties and money from her freelance editing gigs… but being available for her child at all times made it all worth it.
