| backstory |

Finn grew up in a middle-class house with his mom. His dad was never really in the picture, but his grandparents were rich and his mom was a lawyer so he never had to worry about money. His relationship with his mom was always rocky, but his upbringing was fairly stable nonetheless. In his early teens, Finn developed a theft problem. It started out with little things, stealing little keepsakes from his grandparents’ and relatives’ houses, and taking candy from the store, and it progressed as he grew older. When he was around fourteen, he learned to pickpocket, and though he was caught a few times, he was never charged. Since then, he’s become pretty good at it and most of the time people don’t even notice. He also became better at lying as he aged, making up stories about his life and family, or just stretching the truth a little to gain sympathy. He lost friends because of it, but the ones who stuck with him through it he holds close and there are a select few people who he respects enough not to lie or steal from, he just has never given that to strangers.
