** HIS STORY **
Born to lesser noble house in the cold north, Van earned favor with the son of Whitehill's lord when he didn't hold back during a training match. Both became fast friends an Van would come to serve as his second.

During the course of a war between the Kingdom of Essos and the Empire of Deland, Van distinguished himself as a skilled warrior and would be knighted for his accomplishments and would come to serve as his friends personal guard when he took over lordship of Whitehill.

Van continued his duties to his lord until the Lord of Whitehill was tragically killed during a ceremonial hunt during an ambushed.

Disgraced for not being able to protect his lord, Van was banished his friends cousin after he was given lordship of the northern citystate.

Van now serves as a protector of the frontiers, silently wondering if everything that happened was truly an accident or something more.
