background:
daughter of a poor man in modern day Latvia. He possesed powers of ethereal manipulation, which were passed onto his daughters. He was burned due to the speculation of him being a witch. Mazarine was forced to run far far away and was taken in by a retired swordsman who taught her what she needed to know to survive and kept her secret. He helped her control and understand her powers. Once she was of age she began taking missions from different parts of their 'realm'.
