Daniel Judah Lewis

NAME
── Daniel Judah Lewis ──
Though his name means “praise”, very little is to praise about what Daniel does. With this being said as well as Daniel having a biblical meaning, it’s only fate that will decide where he’ll end up.
NICKNAME
── “Gaijin” ──
Being able to work even around the Yakuza has given him this almost slur of a nickname. Meaning foreigner, Daniel will always be looked upon as an outsider working for an organization that holds so many roots.
BIRTHDAY
── May 8th, 1993 ──
Daniel is 29 years old, five of these years was becoming and being a part of the 160th SOAR as a pilot. Three more years as an FBI agent specializing in domestic counterterrorism and two years transferring to the FBI Hostage Rescue Team. One more year moving to Japan and South Korea.
BIRTHPLACE
── Miami, FL, United States ──
Florida, the home of alligators and crocodiles. One of those two, I honestly forget. Luckily, Daniel grew up in central Miami only occasionally ever going to the adored beaches. This would be his stomping ground and the knowledge of the urban area would prove useful throughout his life.
ORIGINS
── From city boy to FBI to Yakuza ──
Daniel grew up in central Miami with his father. He grew up like any other kid around him, playing soccer to keep himself busy through the years as well as getting into a local car scene with street and drag racing. It wasn’t until he was 18 when he decided to go for his bachelor’s in business administration and join the Army to become a pilot. He eventually got through Green Platoon and joined the ranks of the 160th SOAR, becoming one of the best pilots in the world. After his few years in the Army he goes through FBI training in Quantico before working in counterterrorism. After three years of working in the domestic counterterrorism field, he goes for the Hostage Rescue Team. Knowing he cannot make a career out of it, and wanting a fresh start after years of combat, he moves to Japan. It was here he was introduced to organized crime. Deep down, Daniel still loved the night getaways, the night drivebys and transporting precious cargo for the syndicate. He would eventually transfer to a Yakuza in South Korea and live his life there as a new chapter.

APPEARANCE
─────────
SUMMARY
Standing at six foot even or 182 centimeters, Daniel is slightly lean yet decently muscular. His body is wide and broad and riddled completely with ink. Half of his tattoos are Japanese inspired, the other half straight American traditional. His face is a bit boxy tapering down into an oval shape with hazel eyes.
DETAILS
Starting from head to toe he has pretty short dark brown hair. The sides are a buzz cut but not too close to his head, with the middle slightly thicker and longer and slicked back and to the side. His eyebrows are slightly thick and are curved. His ears are pierced and in them go small black earrings in the shape of pentagrams. He occasionally has a small septum piercing in. He has trimmed facial hair, a full beard that goes around his cheekbones and his chin. It’s not too outrageous as it’s always trimmed up.
No neck ink, however his right shoulder has a dark, dead rose floral design with a flying eagle below it. His left trap consists of black Japanese filler before a red and orange dragon fills up his side delt and the fire colored body spirals down to his forearm, the tail ending at his elbow as it curves back up to reach it. Between the folds and spiral of the dragon there are three blue, bloody and brutal namakubi tattoos and it’s as if the dragon is squeezing them. They’re disfigured with the small blades going through their heads and cheeks. On his tricep is a midnight blue boar head with three eyes and long curved horns. Upon his head is a crown of skulls. Surrounding the boar head is flames up to the edges of his tricep. Filling the negative space that is his skin is black and gray traditional filler with an occasional red flower that is a darker shade than the dragon.
As stated above, there is a dead rose floral above a flying eagle. Below the eagle is a bomb with a shark paint scheme for the eyes and mouth. As the ink trickles down his arm there is a skull with a Vietnam era army helmet on with a playing card in it. On his inner bicep is a panther with a dagger going through its skull; below that is a sacred heart. On his tricep is a pinup military female WWII era. On his ulna he has a small sword through a heart with words around parchment “death before dishonor” on the other side of his forearm he has a snake and a hand, the snake biting the hand gruesomely. In the center of his forearm is a skull pilot with a small American flag behind it. All of these tattoos are in black and gray and do not have any negative space filler. His left hand is blacked out with sakura leaves falling from his wrist to his first knuckles. His right hand has a skull version of Lady Liberty.
Right below the first knuckle of every finger besides his thumbs is a blacked out arrow pointing downward like a spike.
Across his chest spans a goat skull with horns that go upward and then curve down to his nipples. Spanning behind it are black fallen angel wings spanning from shoulder to shoulder.. Below it going all the way to the top of his abdomen is all black with faded-esk red lines going down.
His back only has two tattoos, on the left side is the 160th insignia, a man-pegasus hybrid holding a sword with a crescent moon above and to the right. On the right side is the FBI HRT insignia, an eagle holding a chain. These are both in black and gray. He has no leg tattoos.
Most of these tattoos mean nothing and Daniel decided on them simply because they look cool.
FASHION
Daniel’s most absolute casual, WalMart fashion is an athletic tank-top with sweatpants and some low cut Vans. Most of the time for his daily life he dresses professionally, a collared polo shirt with some nice jeans or slacks. Sometimes he has Vans or he wears some non formal dress shoes. Occasionally he’ll wear a suit yet it’s casual enough for everyday wear. During his night runs he wears all black, boots, jeans, a hoodie with a bulletproof HRT vest with a spray paint line through HRT, a balaclava mask and sometimes a metallic red demon mask with sharp teeth and short horns. He also wears gloves. This is all to hide any identifying features as there are a lot of them.
PERSONALITY
─────────
GOOD TRAITS
── Calm ──
Years of being in high intensity, adrenaline rushing, tactical situations have made him relatively calm. Even if he’s losing, he almost always stays level-headed and always keeps his eyes on the prize.
── Individualistic ──
No one around him has trained like him. Covert, nighttime operations and situations that require delicate and quick responses have made him a machine of his own. He tends to do things his way and they usually play out in his favor.
── Independant ──
He lives alone in the Eastern parts of Asia and before that traveled all over the world as well as America. He has learned quickly to adapt to new surroundings and fend for himself in foreign lands.
── Clever ──
Having to work his way around the Yakuza and learn the different routes and honestly, turn a total 180 from his past life, it takes a certain special kind of cleverness to translate his skills to be a mercenary.
── Good Samaritan ──
Out of the car and out of the darkness of night, Daniel is quite friendly to strangers around him. He will often go out of his way to help a citizen with menial tasks as he walks throughout the cities.
BAD TRAITS
── Quiet ──
Daniel doesn’t speak much, he doesn’t ask questions, he’s the smile and nod type. That’s not to say he won’t talk, he’d rather just let his actions speak for himself. Not the most social type either, but can still make connections if need be.
── Cruel ──
Gaijin is under a massive amount of stress from the Yakuza. One slip up and he knows his life will end. He must drive (to survive), he must obey, he must kill. He’s had to give up his freedom for this life. However, deep down he enjoys it. He enjoys dismantling organizations and other gangs. It’s a soul crushing addiction.
── Blunt ──
When he does talk, he often simply states the facts, or asks the questions no one else wants to ask. He addresses the elephant in the room immediately with his deadpan expression.
── Withdrawn──
Living in isolation as well as an outcast for the very organization you work for can cause some shelling over time. Daniel doesn’t have friends since moving East. His life is consumed by work and he’s okay with that.
HOBBIES
── Soccer, Cars, Chases, and Odd Jobs──
Growing up in Miami he started to get into soccer, or football as it's known literally everywhere else, and since middle school he’s been on some form of soccer team, a faint dream of joining MSL or even FIFA. As well as growing up in a dense area he got into the car scenes. He would attend the events and when he got his very first car he would participate in very legal drag races and street races; even if his car did handle like a bathtub.
Seeking to fulfill his addiction, he would get into police chases as well as race on the busy streets and highways of Tokyo. Daniel over time has gotten very used to the odd jobs given to him not only by the local crime scene, but also the Yakuza he works for. Secretly, adn much to his father’s dismay, he loves it.
HABITS
── Heavy-footed ──
As expected, when he attempts to drive like a regular person, his foot tends to push a bit hard off the line. He mostly has to keep himself in check whenever he almost skirts off from a simple red light.
── Lung Cancer ──
Daniel is a smoker, attempting to relieve the years of stress and maybe miraculously reverse that one gray hair he thinks he has. He smokes around ten cigarettes a day from the time he wakes up to the time he goes to bed. The cigarettes never help, though.
── Potty Mouth ──
Like the author, Danny here tends to use an excessive amount of cussing when he does speak. He tends to speak like an old man to himself, muttering cuss words beneath his breath. He won’t dare cuss at a Yakuza member, however.
── Tapping ──
Coming from a sports background as well, he tends to tap his feet a lot as if he’s playing with a football. He tends to do this when he’s bored, like when he’s waiting on something.

LIFESTYLE
─────────
OCCUPATION
── From US Army, to FBI, to mercenary ──
After graduating high school he goes to get his Bachelor's before going to Officer Candidate School. As he joins the Army he goes to flight school where he becomes a pilot. He soon transfers to the 160th and has a stint of five years of active military service. After getting out, he goes to Quantico to join the FBI as an agent for three years and transfers to the Hostage Rescue Team for two. After the two year rotation, he moves across the world to Japan to try and settle down. It was here he was dragged into organized crime and now he works for the Yakuza.
HEALTH
── Has the Wealth but not the Health ──
Physically speaking, Daniel is in probably peak health. He’s on the slightly wide side, but he’s muscular and has a lot of cardiovascular capacity. His mind is still sharp as ever, it’s just gotten darker after he left the HRT. Crime has twisted his mind slightly, feeding his addiction for adrenaline. To know that he’s manipulated such a group into accepting his services gives him a sick type of joy deep down inside.
RESIDENCE
── From the West to the East ──
Daniel has always stayed in Miami with his dad until traveling the world and then America. Japan was the only other place he settled in, his true residence being provided for him by the Yakuza. It’s a small yet peaceful estate in Atami, about two hours from Tokyo. Its owner no longer resides there as he’s relocated to South Korea.
SCHOLARLY
── BBA in Entrepreneurship from UM ──
Daniel has always been a pretty smart guy. Not only that but his father made him study a lot being from a somewhat successful family. In order to become an officer in the Army, one must have a bachelor’s degree before going to OCS. Daniel chose a bachelor’s in business administration in entrepreneurship hoping that one day he could start his own business. This is the only education that he has besides officer school.
FINANCIAL
── Set for Life ──
Working for the government has its perks when it comes to financial means. His college was paid for so long as he joined the military and throughout his career he hasn’t had the need to spend his money. The money he’s accumulated through the government is put away in the States so if he ever needs to get away he’s still set. The only things he has spent his money on is helping his father get a nice house and his second vehicle; as well as moving continents.
── Vehicles for Every Occasion ──
Daniel technically owns five vehicles although he doesn’t use one of them as it’s in the States. There’s his first vehicle which is a 2006 Dodge Charger R/T. It’s midnight blue with the chrome accents along the cross in the middle of the grille. Nothing about this car has been modified.
After he pays off his Charger, he gets an upgrade. Once he gets out of the military, he gets a new 2016 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. The Challenger is a manual six speed and is black with some modifications before moving it to Japan. The first modification is to the rims. He switches them out for 22 inch Vossen HF-1s and adds a widebody kit to the car. He makes all the emblems on it a deep red and black and makes the headlights red. After he moves to Japan and gets involved with driving for criminal groups, he adds lighter performance parts, moves the exhausts to each side under the rear side of each door like a stock car, lowers the profile a bit, and adds various bulletproof things like windows and tires. This is his main vehicle even though it might not be the quietest.
The first car the Yakuza’s money provided him is a 1995 Toyota Supra MK4. It’s blacked out with tinted tail and headlights with the iconic spoiler. The rims have a smaller middle section consisting of five thick spokes that curve toward the car’s chassis. Surrounding the middle section is a thick chrome outline. There’s no engine swap, only improved aftermarket parts to smoothen the natural performance. This is his street racing car as well as the car he does reconnasense in and sometimes it’s his daily driver.
The last car he uses is an 2022 Acura MDX Type S. It's gray with black 22” Strada Sega rims on it. Otherwise its stock, officer. I promise. This is his main daily as well as used to transport people and prostitutes. This vehicle does have bulletproof windows, though.

INTIMATE
─────────
ORIENTATION
── Straight as the Drag Strip ──
Daniel has always been straight and always will be. He’s never had any attraction to the same sex.
IDEAL PARTNER
── Married to Work ──
Trying to maintain a relationship throughout his life has always been a challenge and always posed a challenge. Therefore, he hasn’t attempted to have a relationship in over a decade. Knowing he can’t settle down for quite some time, Daniel would prefer a partner who either lives the fast life or doesn’t mind it. She would need to at least understand his position and cooperate with him.
IDEAL DATE
── Ready, Set, Go ──
Daniel isn’t one for restaurants or the movies. He would love it if he had a date on a race track or on the drag strip. Anything motorsport related, really. He’s not one to relax much and prefers the loud noises and the rushing feelings of the street.

RELATIONS
─────────
MOTHER
── Down the Wrong Path──
There’s a specific reason why he has only lived with his father. After Daniel was old enough to know right from wrong, at five years old, his mother Emily Jordan started to do cocaine just so she could get those years back. Her boyfriend at the time, his father, was always busy with work and barely had any time to help her with Daniel. He could throw all the money in the world at her yet it wouldn’t help the exhaustion. She just wanted to be free again. Once her secret had risen to the surface, his father kicked her out and decided to take care of Daniel the best he could.
FATHER
── The Workhorse that Deserves a Break──
John Lewis Jr is the father of Daniel. He was very adamant about school and preaches about success. John is a traffic lawyer and is in the office all day. Pushing 50 now with almost 30 years of working, it’s about time he settled down. Daniel has no siblings.
BEST FRIEND
── Team Player ──
Daniel didn’t really have any best friends, however, all the friends that he was close to were the football teams he joined throughout school. It was like a band of brothers and even went undefeated in his senior year of high school. No matter where life has taken him, he’s never forgotten his teams.

BACKSTORY
─────────

── The Fall From Grace──
Daniel Judah Lewis was born on May 8th, 1993 in central Miami. His mother, Emily, always took good care of him despite the exhaustion and irritation that comes with being a new mother. His father, John, always worked both in and out of the office as he tried his best to help his girlfriend. This went on for a few years, until he was in kindergarten and could somewhat take care of himself. His mother started to get into cocaine after being convinced that it could set her free; she got hooked. It wouldn’t be very long before her boyfriend found out and she was kicked to the curb. For John and Daniel, there was no turning back.

Throughout school his father always made him study. Getting through law school takes a lot of commitment, perseverance, and a dash of luck. He pressed these down into Daniel and even if he didn’t want it at times, the results showed. Daniel had almost all As throughout his education in middle and high school. He also took up football. At a young age he would always play with the kids around him, kicking the ball or even going to some games. While he wasn’t exactly a star at it, he was a team player and his teams always seemed to do good throughout the years.

Sophomore year is when he was introduced into the very legal drag scene. No, not the queen one, the racing one. The team and himself would take long cruises or go to the beaches and find strips of road they would race their cars around. It was thrilling to him, and thus began his rebellious phase. His father never found out about these late night shenanigans, going off with his friends to see cars and race, sometimes even stepping into a friend’s car and trying to race. You win some, you lose some. It was all in good fun though. During senior year he gets his license and for putting in the work to keep up with his studies and the football team, his father helps him get his first car. This was his first love, and he fell in love with Dodge.

After graduating high school he goes to the Army recruiting office to become an officer. They tell him that if he goes in the reserves they’ll pay for his college. Daniel agrees, and also agrees to go active once he has his bachelor’s degree. As he goes through college, he looks at different jobs within the Army. He comes across pilots and eventually the 160th SOAR. These mythical pilots were stuff of legend to Daniel and he was determined to become one. Officers must have a bachelor’s degree as well as passing Officer Candidate School to become a Second Lieutenant. He does just that. His father takes it very well and allows him to join the Army. As the years pass, Daniel gets his Bachelor’s in Business Administration in Entrepreneurship from the University of Miami by the age of 21. He goes through the 12 week OCS and is commissioned as an 2LT and is sent off to flight school.

The intense 32 week course felt like forever, yet Daniel got through it and got his wings. He then went on to Advanced Graduate Training which taught him how to fly the Chinook as well as the Blackhawk. It takes another 20 weeks. He applies for the 160th and gets accepted, soon going through the seven week training course and then Green Platoon which is another six weeks. Daniel was now a Nightstalker.

His first taste of action would come in 2014 in Yemen, flying in special operations to free hostages. It’s a success. The heart-racing activity sparked a flame in him, a flame that hasn’t been put out to this day. He could continue to be deployed in the War on Terror, infiltrating enemy lines and extracting those that needed it. After around a year and a half he’s promoted to Captain. Captain Lewis would serve his country and fellow special operators for another four years before being honorably discharged with a bronze star for being able to extract his fellow fighters very quickly, even helping out by providing cover fire himself from his helicopter.

Wanting that same feeling he had while in Yemen, he goes to Quantico in Virginia and trains to become an FBI agent. He succeeds and goes on to specialize in domestic counterterrorism. It was here that he learns how to locate, track, and guide units to neutralize a suspected terrorist. It would be a few years before he goes to become a member of the HRT. Since he has a background in flying, he does just that. He flew the Blackhawk wherever they needed and watches from the rooftops as the teams raid possible terrorist hideouts, work out hostage rescues and flew MD 500s in manhunts. He eventually goes in to become an operator and he passes the qualifications. He was finally boots on the ground. Former Captain Lewis now helped the team rescue hostages and such from banks, stores, and even schools. He also participated in manhunts for counterterrorism. He was recommended for the Fly Team, however, he declined.

Leaving the Army and then the FBI was a breath of fresh air, and a new chance to finally have a life at the age of 29. He decides to move continents and brings his Challenger with him. He leaves 90% of the money he’s gathered up to this point with his father and goes to beautiful Japan to live a new life. A few months after moving to Atami, he’s brought into a local crime scene after a run-in with some gangsters and he manipulates the head of the criminals with his offerings. His skill set for his life.

He drove for his life, using what he’s learned in the FBI to transport various very legal items across Japan. This catches the eyes of the Yakuza in Tokyo and he’s then snached up by the crime syndacite. His role now was mainly still transporting different means of profit for the crime lords, or getting rid of something they did. It was a whole new feeling of excitement for him and deep down he enjoyed being the criminal for once. Long gone were the days of Captain Lewis. Now, there was Gaijin.

He now has relocated to the mainland in South Korea as ordered by the Yakuza to go and get the feel for the land. Who knows what will be waiting for him there.

NOTES
─────────
Hi there, Fear here. So, this is my first true character in about five years. I tend to be as realistic as possible and so I tend to go over the top. That’s okay with me. A little nitpicky thing, in order for flight school to be paid for one must commit ten years of service. I’m not making my character in his 40s for the sake of realism. I’m not going to rip out the FBI section. I also don’t know the whole transfer into the FBI and the ins and outs of that. The FBI site is vague as you can imagine.

This OC is HEAVILY based off of Alex Terrible. He's my idol. The face claim is his 2022 hair but the 2020 beard. There's no picture for that so here's links to videos of him.
2020 Beard: /external.php?l=/external.php?l=https:// www.youtube.com/watch?v=KaJ5CI3A9qc
2022 Haircut: /external.php?l=/external.php?l=https:// www.youtube.com/watch?v=ak8-Mpb54JM&t=89s
Please note that he's a metal vocalist and there is a lot of screaming with weird facial expressions, at least in the second video.
