Description of Sylvari: There is a unique charm to Sylvari that bleeds into every aspect of his form as if he were a created thing rather than imperfectly born. His gait is light, reminiscent of a dance and his voice caries a gentle yet rich cadence. Silken lengths of pearly gray hair cascades well below his shoulders, a glimmer of starlight caught in the lengths in just the right light. The shorter lengths frame his features that tread a fine line between masculine and delicate. The mix a courtesy of pronounced cheekbones and strong jaw, which lacks even a whisper of stubble where one would expect it. The brilliant shade of his evergreen eyes holds confidence, tranquility and sincere interest in their captive gaze while his mouth craves attention with its warm smile. No taller or shorter than the next man he has the honed physique of a dancer but broaches on the leaner end of the scale. One might best describe the young man. A keen viewer though might note the smaller flaws, of which there are many, that suggest Sylvari is indeed one of those imperfectly born things. A few are more noticeable than others like the pale scars on otherwise smooth hands or the slight sneer an old hair-fine scar leaves on his upper lip.

Hair Style: His hair is a shade of silver, it has a slight waviness and reaches to his waist.

Eye Color: His eye color will change on a variety of emotions. Though usually they remain their gentle shade of green.

Distinguishing Marks: His ears are pierced once each, his tongue is also pierced.

Skin Complexion: Alabaster toned.

Body: He has a gentle body chiseled and toned around his torso, along with small amounts of toning along his body. His waist is curvaceous and slim, curves running over his lower half. He is toned and athletic so his body shows off some of that athleticism is his flexibility.

Physical Condition: His body is chiseled along his muscles, his abs are well toned and rounded, the same amount of toning is present over his calves and hamstrings not to mention his biceps. His entire body seems to carry this athletic look.

Tone of Voice: You would expect him to at least sound deadly, but his voice is gentle. It sounds very well educated, though he can change or throw his voice letting him meld with any crowd and seem inconspicuous, almost invisible and able to blend with any sort of style.

Personality

Serenity becomes Sylvari; he is as tranquil as the mirror shine of an undisturbed lake. Not to say he is without passion, merely knows there is a time and place for such things. He is seldom brought to ire or malicious in word or action and in spite of being softly spoken Sylvari never lacks conviction nor shies from calling a spade anything other than what it is. Astute yet willing to admit to a lack of understanding in some topics he is always eager to learn, or to ask, but this eagerness can fuel a wicked curiosity for which he must stride along a fine line of decorum, never going so far to appear intrusive. Compassion comes easily to Sylvari and his loyalty is fierce. No matter the need he is willing to do almost anything to brighten another's day, bring about a smile or relieve some small burden if he is able. He is an attentive sounding board, an empathic ear and if needed simply company to enjoy wine and conversation with.

Mental Disturbances: Sylvari commonly possesses strong but swiftly passing passions, being moved easily to laughter, anger, or misery and as quickly calmed. He is known for his impulsive behavior and, as a result, many races saw him as flighty or impetuous. However, he is not as flaky as others might interpret him to be, and he is usually responsible despite his almost whimsical nature. Partially due to his long lifespan, he had difficulty taking some matters as seriously as other races, but when threats he recognize did arise, he was a strong friend and ally to those he was loyal to. However, despite how unpleasant some things such as war could be, he became grimly serious if a threat to his friends, family, or livelihood made such actions necessary.

Weaponry: He carries a few different weapons. The first being an old family heirloom. It is a sword adorned with two gleaming horses' heads touching noses above the grip; its scabbard clasped with gold and set with green gems. The second is a lance. It stands at nine feet high; the blade is curved and almost two feet long, it was etched in brass filigree. The spear must surely have been in Sylvari's possession for some time before the Battle of Orcs and Elves and may well have dated back to the last age or even before. The third being a blade of elvish make. It bites with chilling cold, a weapon that glitters like ice by the light of the stars.

Armor: On his torso, he wears a small iridium shirt of chain mail. It is close-woven of many rings, as supple almost as linen, cold as ice, and harder than steel... and studded with white gems of unknown variety.

Accessories: He wears an ornate silver ring. It is described as the likeness of two serpents intertwined with eyes made of green jewels. The serpents met beneath a crown of golden flowers that one upheld and one devoured. The jewels sometimes seemed to burn with green fire.

Enhanced Reflexes
[The ability to have an enhanced reaction speed allowing him to dodge and maneuver around complex attacks or catch falling objects. His only limitation for this being that someone has to be faster than him and not many are.. but thats only in the elven region.]

Enhanced Bowmanship
[An innate talent usually found in elves that grants incredible aptitude for the ways of bow and arrow. Sylvari doesn't have this talent, but it is said that he would have had great potential to be a phenomenal archer if only he hadn't fallen asleep during each and every one of his instructor's classes]

Zoopathy
[The ability to talk to and understand animals. In Sylvari's case, he speaks the language of crows. There's also something about all birds speaking different languages.]




History

Sylvari was born in 777, on the 11th of First Seed, which is a very peculiar date that held an abundant amount of significance to the high elves, causing them to celebrate for seventy-seven days, likely playing into his birthdate. Sylvari was born from King Gwynneth and Kin-lady Avariel, who ruled from the city-state of Illium. He may be a prince by birth, but he is a warrior by heart.

It was foretold that his childhood would reflect the restless and chaotic times that he would be born into, and it certainly shows. Sylvari was a quick-witted and nimble child, having the ability to adapt and overcome anything easily. His methods would be unorthodox at best.

Wanderlust had always been in his heart but it was not until responsibility to his family had faded, that the want for adventure became unbearable, that and the group of troubadours passing through the Illium Greens added just enough push to drive Sylvari towards his ambitions.

He stayed with the troupe for some months, travelling through the south and with them began his love for the arts, specifically music and dance. There would be more to learn though, and he could not stay with the musicians forever. The search for adventure and all the knowledge that comes with it saw Sylvari travel much of the continent in the first handful of years, never staying long enough to grow roots in one place. What called to him in all of his travels though were the schools of Courtesans where beauty and talent were drawn by the same brush and wrapped in silken finery; that was where he wanted to be. Where he could pursue his great love for performance and could bring that splendor to others, bring just a little color and wonder into the darkness of the current state of the world.

It all came to an end when his father passed.
