Epilogue.

The Empress, on the little outside sources that could be obtained, gathers the armies and sends them to literally erase that entire eerie location off of the face of Fengshii. Obviously she can't know that the deed could have serious repercussions and that there is clearly something powerful and dangerous at work in there.
After all, there is something there that no just can efficiently restrain light, but can also slow time down. This certainly doesn't ring a bell in a woman who has only been taught how to be a good royal wife, nor it ticks the mind of people who can only think about destroying anything connected to what made them lose the people they valued the most.
The Empress, though, knows what effects this action will bring, inside the Empire: a pretty widespread consent around her, by the many revenge-thirsty nobles all over the country.

250.000 men, led by BangSul and accompanied by Hoseok and other personalities of power, march to the place with the idea of burning, destroying and killing every single thing until there will be nothing left but a pile of ashes on an infertile ground.
Pointless are the attempts of the likes of Mortimer, to try to reason the mob into not destroying a place of historical and natural importance just out of the assumption that some remnants of an ancient civilization COULD BE responsible of those deaths.

The army enters the forest and is at least considerate enough to not set it aflame while being still inside of it and risking to all die from the flames and fumes, but that doesn't change the destructive power of so many violent and revengeful men.
One thing that bothers BangSul even more is the fact that he can clearly distinguish WonPil's scent and he actually follows it, together with the men at his command.

It doesn't pass too long before they find themselves in front of WonPil, wearing his cloth, mask included, who is not alone. With him is a female. Just lying their eyes upon her, every single auriold or auriold-based creature get a feeling of uneasiness. She makes their skin crawl. Her elongated head, flat face, longer limbs and huge eyes make her closely resemble other humanoids, but in an ungraceful way that still makes it evident she is not one of them.
The only immune people to the effect are zimox, nimox, humans, pure blood kitsune and creatures from other worlds, with no auriold DNA in them.
The feelings she gives makes soldiers and avatars even more aggressive.
The female raises a wooden bow and arrows, looking hesitant as of where she should aim first.

BangSul, at the peak of anger, attacks WonPil without asking for explanations. Whether possessed or willing, the fact that after intercepting and stopping him from returning to that forest a first time, he still escaped from being locked up in Hoseok's manor by them and returned there nonetheless, makes him want to kill him. If not for else, because of his recklessness, that risks to lead to even more deaths.
While he violently aggresses WonPil, though, the female starts to shoot arrows at BangSul. It's just sharpened wooden sticks, they are far from strong enough to damage the Avatar of Nature, but they sure annoy him.

BangSul leaves WonPil on the ground and summons his spear, that he throws at the female. At the same time, Hoseok had thrown one of his daggers at her, to protect BangSul from her attacks.
In the fraction of a second, spear and dagger hit… WonPil, who had leaped towards the female, just in time to shield her from those deadly weapons.
As the spear and dagger pierce through it, at the same time, WonPil's cloth literally shatters into dust, beyond any possibility of repair, vanishing.
Two divine weapons together are too powerful, even for a silver cloth, especially one that is mostly vulnerable to physical damage and excels in protection against magic.
WonPil gets deeply wounded by both weapons, but sadly they don't kill him. Bad weed never dies.
It follows a moment of stun, especially by the two Avatars who didn't really expect that outcome.
Hoseok looks totally troubled and in the middle of an inner conflict, that he is losing and making him fall apart.

Meanwhile, Lani and his kid(s) - depending on whether Mei stands on their side or not - arrive and step forward, placing themselves between the army and WonPil. Lani, as well as Mort and probably some other more progressive Knights - or those who didn't suffer major losses - didn't approve the idea of wiping a whole civilization out of revenge.

Dobermann "You will allow me to arrest her? Because I won't leave her unpunished. I can't, people counted on us to find who was behind it. That filthy thing has to pay and make up for what she did. If the House of Wolf can't contain her, nothing can.
There is really nothing that can be done? Give your all, please." He looks at WonPil and Lani until the other starts taking him away. "Hopefully he is taking him because he knows how to save him...I wouldn't want to see him starting to dig a grave as we leave this hut." He moves his gaze on what Lani picked up. "What is it..?"

WuMei begins to laugh like crazy while XinLan runs after her. She doesn't waste the chance to play.
"You don't know what is even better than food.
That would be surely amusing but sex is not bad if the man has some skill, a big instrument and resistence! The boy of my dreams should have all this...but I would be fine if he was just like me, even if wire but unachievable dream."

Ziqun Clover. «I don't have to allow it, it's none of my concern what happens to her or what you do to her. She is nothing to me.» Clearly not the most united of teams. XD
«Watch the fact she might know a lot, if she has been close enough to hear.» And she was in TiShan.

Lani. «I don't know if there is a way to fix that kind of things, but maybe he knows something I don't…» Not being humble, it's just that it's something undocumented and that has no precedents in the medical history.

Clover. «This wouldn't be an appropriate resting place for GoldFire.» Just so that they know, kitsune have standards for funerals.

Lani. He looks at the polaroid, all dirty of blood, and stands up, handing it to WuXin. It's the picture in motion of TiHao who sleeps, that WonPil always kept since the time they went to Scotland, basically.
«Life sucks», he says, while walking out of the hut.

When Windhopper leaves with WonPil, BangSul jumps up, looking at them in a gloomy expression and being… quite unlike himself, pale and shaken.
Hoseok is no better.

XinLan. He keeps running after her, trying to grab her. At least they bring some cheerfulness in that gloomy atmosphere. «Stop, you must obey, I'm your GeGe!»
He frowns. «Food is everything. You can live without sex but not without food!»

Nomori conveniently takes the chance to flee before the Knights could capture her.

Dobermann "I believe I can handle it if capturing her requires a fight. Regardless I don't want to understimate any of you, I'll give my all to get to her.
If they know how to handle it, I would like them to share with us, so we can save people in future occasions ourselves. They won't always be around.
GoldFire...WonPil is GoldFire?"
He shuts his eyes after seeing the picture. "This man...
It doesn't suck. It constantly give us challenges, sometimes easier to overcome, sometimes more difficult. I still don't know how to overcome all this, it'll take time." He stands serious but there is something about him giving away he is deeply wounded inside.
He walks out of the hut and looks up at BangSul. "I have to say it. I told you. I'm setting bounties and knights to look for her, feel free to do your part so she won't be left unpunished."

"I'll never listen to a man, GeGe or not!" Would she listen to a woman? Not really. "Obey my ass!
You can't live without water but you also want to drink juice because it tastes better."

Ziqun Clover. «I won't help her and neither I will help you.» All he wants, at this point, is to go back to his forest. Assuming it still exists.

Lani. «I would like to learn too, but that particular one doesn't seem very talkative. Or friendly. Or anything else but absolutely hostile.»

Clover. «GoldFire is the wounded young one», he confirms, but always keeping a rather emotionless and strict attitude. He is the Jiang Chess.
He returns outside the hut.

Lani. «No, it completely sucks. All of your efforts and sacrifices can be nullified in the blink of an eye, without any chance to repair. Everything feels pointless.»

BangSul. «I… fucked up… I lost… I lost…» he repeats, while still staring in the direction Windhopper left to.

XinLan. «Bur you can live even if you only drink juice! While you'd totally die if you had sex and didn't eat!»

Dobermann "I still would like to know more about who you are, all of you. Also, I would rather have friends than enemies.
Let's give him some time to deal with WonPil, then I'll try talking to him to find out.
No one of them is particularly friendly.
And do you think he will make it? Your friend has the knowledge to deal with the magic poisoning?
That sucks, but there are not many good things too in this life? We tend to focus too much on the bad, when we have wonderful families, a lot of love, even the beautiful moments together.
I don't accept you give up. You need to wake up and look for her too."

"But what is the point of living without other joys? It is not always all about food!"
