Sweet Captain Ne - Neatia of the galleon Amaino -

Name: Neatia

Alias: 'Sweet Captain Ne', 'Sugar fiend', 'Sugared Bandit', 'Ne' (To friends, specifically)

Occupation: Captain of the merchant ship 'Amaino', Lead of production of onboard goods.

Age: 25

Vague description: A fairly petite woman, Neatia's a young-faced captain who could be easily mistaken for an underling onboard her own ship. With long hair, usually tied back in an ornate crown braid to keep things tidy while working, and dressed in an ornate white blouse and shorts, she's not as 'extra' in appearances as other captains.
Most notably she wears two pieces of cloth at her waist, clipped to her shorts. These are actually a key part of her work clothing and are functional more than for appearances. She also wears platformed thigh boots to boost her height- she's not tall, by any means, so the illusion of height is a little important to her.
(( I'll add art of her later :) ))

Height: 5'6" (Heels total her to roughly 5'9" )

Hair: Long, silver-grey. Side-parted bangs, usually with loose pieces either side of her face. Usually worn in a crown braid on the back of her head, or in a long ponytail. Rarely left down.

Eyes: Pearly-toned blue.

Skin tone: Pale

Body type: Petite; long-legged for her height, not overly built or muscular, extremely feminine silhouette and general shaping.

Notable visuals: Small birthmark on the nape of her neck
~~~~~
Notable traits: Consumer of the 'Amai Amai' fruit (Literally: 'Sweet sweet fruit'), Ne's body can secrete sugars through the skin (provided her diet remains high in sugar content), allowing a high level of control and manipulation of this material. Daily she makes use of this for making specific artisan product onboard, in particular sugar art for custom orders placed by high-paying customers, but in time she's become able to do various interesting things with it with varying degrees of success, the most notable being wings. While they function and can lift her, sugar is unfortunately very, very dissolvable in water, and as a result high-moisture environments nullify a majority of her ability immediately, simply resulting in a sticky mess instead of anything controllable. Otherwise her sugar formations are surprisingly strong, and she can form a crystallized 'shell' around targets- even while they're still alive-- given they're not moving too much.
Fears: Drowning, Losing her crew, Losing her 'empire', Being forgotten
Personality overview: Neatia's a two tone persona. professionally, she's cut-throat and outright brutal. No-Nonsense and a straight talker, she won't let herself be undercut or threatened, and makes a point of enforcing strict policies to those the ship docks with to strike deals.
Behind the scenes she's much calmer and more relaxed, with a strong sense of self-doubt in places. Her fears control her every move outside of dealing with patrons, and she is consistently stressed out and concerned about every decision made. This does however make her extremely compassionate- and she cares greatly for her crew, and likewise for anyone she can consider her friend.
General Bio:
Originating from a poor Southern island, Neatia's entire village struggled to survive- with piracy draining coin out of the local economy, food was scarce and difficult to come by.
The Amai Amai fruit was the sole possession her family had worth anything- and in a bid to avoid starvation she took it into her own hands to chow down on it in her early teens- quite to the horror of those involved.
However, it began the turn of the island. Now able to produce and control sugar, the ability to candy fruits for preservation and selling quickly became useful. Candied fruits lasted longer at sea- and passing boats quickly picked up on the island being a good source of avoiding scurvy. Having established enough trade there to re-build the islands economy to comfortable degrees, she was able to save up for her own ship- and head off in search of bigger opportunities, with the promise to return with enough money behind her to provide for all the inhabitants of her homeplace.
Now she owns a small galleon- the vibrantly painted Amaino- named after her fruit of course- with the interior kitted out for the production and storage of many sweet-based items, from chocolate up to her sugared sculptures, and the ability to store and deliver these items on a whim with the open seas.
As a new face lurking on the open waters, with a great store of food items- her ship quickly became noticed by unfavourable pirates of course, and the Amaino's crew began to gain a...reputation. Of sorts. Fed up of constantly being attacked and forced to hand over goods, 'Sweet Captain Ne' began to gain a reputation for willingly inviting attackers onboard... and crystallizing them, with some particularly bold claims that she even stores the victims in the belly of the ship for resale onto those who would consider the gold-toned statuettes a collectible. Whether or not the claims are true is a whole other question entirely, but hey, she isn't going to confirm or deny anything. It keeps the problematic customers somewhat away from her, but merchants that have repeat deals with her are comfortable enough to know they aren't at risk with her- so long as they don't touch anything. A very strict policy on not touching any of the goods onboard- lest batches get contaminated.
