Gosh Darn Rules
I really hate doing RULES sections and pages. It adds such a snobby context to something that should be fun but then I find some things need to be addressed. For starters, I'm a very friendly player... very friendly. Very easy to get along with. But I don't tolerate foolishness very well.
1. NO UNDERAGE CHARACTERS/LOLITAS. I don't care if she's 48 and never blossomed... if your character is under the age of 18 or bares an appearance to make it seem as though she's underage, I have no interest in you.
2. NO FEEDBACK, NO PROGRESS. I get that we don't always have a concrete and solid idea in mind when we approach others and I don't expect people to have ideas ready to be dished out every time I'm approached. However, giving me short answers in hopes I pull together ideas for you isn't going to work... I'll find someone who can express themselves. Don't be offended by this, please. To me, this simply illustrates interest and the creativity that'll be needed to make our story fun. Open-ended responses like "I'm cool with whatever" doesn't help narrow things down.
3. NO PASSWORDS. I understand why folks feel the need to have these but I'm also defiant and this is a HUGE buzzkill. As someone whose roleplay profiles consist of plenty of information, I'm most certainly the type to read up anything and everything on another character I'm interested in, whether or not there's a "password". When I see a decently written profile and hint of character followed by a "message me saying this so I know you're reading" I sigh and immediately X out of the window. It's not owed to anyone to provide a password. Cut it out.
4. NO SHORT POSTS. Give me something to sink my proverbial teeth into. A paragraph is 4-5 sentences. I assume we're all adults and have, at some point or another in our lives, had to write more than 2 paragraphs in one sitting. Two to three paragraphs is lightwork. Condensing posts isn't how you progress a roleplay scene faster... it's how roleplay becomes cybering and I came to read and write.
5. NO ATTITUDES. The vast majority of users on this site are using pictures taken from celebrities and models or else art they've stolen. Women picking a model whose curves and features are to their likeness, dudes gathering pictures of dudes they're pretending to be for the sake of RP. Just because you picked a pretty model does not mean that model is YOU, nor does that stolen picture give anyone any entitlement. You're not better than the next roleplayer. Judge my art, my preference in character... judge whateeeeever ya like. Your false images and poor judgment won't ever stack up to my drawn, original character or that of other roleplayers like myself.
6. NO HIDDEN PACKAGES. Not interested in men, shemales, hermaphrodites, girlie boys, traps, androgyny, nonbinary, transgender, etc. My character has no romantic or sexual interest in a character that isn't born female. In addition to that, if you're playing a female and aren't female irl, please don't tell me. It throws my interest off to know I'm helping some guy get off.
7. NO RUSH. I will never ever rush my roleplay partner for a post. My posts may take anywhere from 5 minutes to half an hour. Sometimes more depending on my interest level and if I get carried away with description. I also proof read, check spelling, punctuation and all that jazz before sending. Take your time.
