Backstory: The Beast of the sea was once Prince of the Hill Dwarves. When he and his sisters parents passed on she, due to being eldest and seemingly most fit for the role, took the throne. Whether it was the power, or simply a way she had always been at her core, the new Queen was tyrannical. Executions of those who criticized her ruler-ship seemingly became the norm, resistance was quickly crushed and the Kingdom became a police state where even the most minor of things could get one imprisoned.

The Beast planted the roots of rebellion two years into her reign, and began a civil war which waged for ten more, but ultimately the rebellion was crushed in a final navel battle, in which the Beast was left on an isle of spirits, known to drive men mad. But Marcus managed to retain his sanity and escape.

From then on he became known as the Beast, founding a crew of infamous pirates known for terrorizing the seas, particularly the dwarven region.
