Bio: Antonio is an age-old vampire, turned just before he hit his early 30’s. He died during the Napoleonic Wars in the early 1800s as a low-ranking French foot soldier but was swept from the abyss of eternal darkness by a fellow soldier, who drained his blood and converted him on the dying battlefield. He struggled for a while, as most vampires do, with the intensity of his urges, and spent a number of decades indulging himself in countless lives and inhuman quantities of blood. His name was whispered as a rumor for a string of disappearings, murders, and robberies, building his wealth and infamy in the supernatural and human community alike. He rose to power as a nobleman, basking in the company of the elite and surrounded by his riches before disappearing entirely for a number of years. Antonio had spent those years in reform and recovery, under the realization that he could no longer kill and drink as he wished, for both moral and societal reasons.

Antonio now lives in a large house on the edge of the city, which houses an abnormally large underground network of the supernatural. Witches, werewolves, vampires, demons, Nephilim - whatever you were searching for could be found through the networks. He is well known in the supernatural community, though not for the violence of his younger days, but merely for his prevalence in the city. Older vampires were harder to come by these days, and they always held a wealth of information concerning the histories of the supernatural. Antonio was no exception. He is charming and an old soul at heart, though he does not open up easily - after living for this long, Antonio learned the weakness of vulnerability and trust. Most supernatural creatures in the city know of him as a distinct member of the community. He lives his life relatively benign, drinking but not killing (except for a few… minor slip-ups in the past decades), and lounging in the luxury of his large, spacious property. Antonio is an old soul who enjoys reminiscing - he keeps mementos of the time periods he has lived through, boxes of photographs he keeps locked away, and listens to records rather than radio. Not that he hasn’t embraced the modern era - he has certainly embraced the ease and comfort of new technology, such as smartphones and sleek cars. Despite his accumulated wealth, Antonio works a low-level job as a local florist and volunteers part-time on the weekend as a librarian. The jobs are something enjoyable to occupy his time, an excuse to leave his home and avoid idle hands. He enjoys working as it takes his mind off the ever-present hunger that sits in the back of his mind, and it allows him to reminisce about old histories captured in the books and the days of high romance when flowers were deemed necessary for courtship. Antonio speaks French, Italian, English, and can read a decent amount of Latin, though he hardly finds the skill to be useful anymore. Also, contrary to most vampires, Antonio chose to keep his religion - he remains a devout Catholic to this day. Antonio can be quite promiscuous when he chooses to be, and often his loyalties are hard to discern with those he is not close to.
