I’ve been making music since I was four years old and don’t plan on stopping any time soon. Starting out with a rented Martin at open mic nights, I flew so high that I shared a stage with Tony Bennett. A journey like that teaches a girl a thing or two about gratitude.
The bulk of my life was spent on stage; the fame and the thousands of eyes were like a balm on wounds I couldn’t heal with anything else. Nothing will ever compare to this life. The love of the game and the people that look at you with eyes full of admiration for your passion are things that cannot be replicated. I would not throw it away for the world.
But the problem with being at the top of the world is there’s only room for one.
