Greetings, thank you for dropping in and I’ll do my damndest to make this quick and not waste any more time than necessary.
My name is Daniel or ‘Dan’ if you’d prefer, I don’t mind either way. I’ve been roleplaying for about three years now. Not as long as some others on this site, I know, but I consider myself a quick study and over my brief time participating in roleplays, I’ve formed my style and preferences like anyone else has.
My biggest rule is all about respecting one another. At the end of the day, roleplay is supposed to be something fun for both of us, and there’s no need to get upset with one another. If there’s ever an issue please just talk to me calmly and I will certainly return the courtesy
I’d love to discuss a plot with you before we get going. I can’t stand just jumping straight into plots. Not saying we need to come up with every single pixel of the story before we begin but I want a general concept of what the plan is. Makes adding to it later easier.
I do include romances in most of my works. It’s blue moon rare that I don’t and the remainder of the potential plot needs to be really good for me to get onboard with it. What can I say? I like having my characters have a nice love life because Christ knows my irl one is a flop lol
All kidding aside, I love slowly building a connection between characters. No love at first sight thing unless, again, the plot behind it is very strong. Even then it’s case by case, because honestly the lack of realism drives me mad.
My usual reply length is 2-3 decent sized paragraphs but it can go a lot higher depending on how invested I am in the plot. I’ve gone as high as 10 before.
