King Rodrik the I

( THIS CHARACTER IS MEANT FOR A MEDIEVAL/FANTASY ROLE-PLAY ONLY. )

[ After countless hours of searching, you finally discover it: a short biography of King Rodrik the I. ]

[ You're tired from the long pursuit of finding this book, but you had to discover about the new king and just how well he will rule the kingdom of Stakha. ]

[ After finding a suitable place to open the book, you do so with excitement running through your veins. ]

King Rodrik the I was born as Prince Rodrik Flambard in the year of 1339 AD. Rodrik wasn't like his three other brothers, nor his only sister when he was born. King Cailan, his father, was not proud to have another son in his family. King Cailan wanted another daughter, one who he could see marry one of his rival kingdoms and bring peace. However, he was stuck with Rodrik whether he wanted him or not. However, King Cailan would soon regret his hatred toward his new son.

Prince Rodrik grew up with his other brothers and single sister, but he was known to be picked on by his brothers. His sister, Mira Flambard, was much more kinder to him, treating him with more than needed respect, and so he tried to stick around her when he could. After all, he didn't want to be mistreated by his brothers who called him names, shoved him around during training and tutoring, and furthermore threatened that they would make sure he wouldn't take the throne in his whole life. Rodrik, however, did get his revenge in a way when he defeated his brothers at sword training and learned much faster than they ever could. It was like he had the skills of a man, yet the mind of a woman for their era. It was truly remarkable, but that just continued for his brothers to be jealous.

As Rodrik grew older along with his family, everything mostly remained the same until their eldest brother was finally old enough to be led into battle. Good thing too, since a few weeks after Rodrik's eldest brother had been ready for battle, the Crenad Kingdom attacked the Stakha kingdom, and the prince led his brothers into battle. However, tragic news came when the eldest prince was slain during an ambush. King Cailan shrugged it off, while the Queen cried in grief for the death of her son. Rodrik's other two brothers, whom were twins, came into their military service together and fought at a major battle together. Though, one of the twins sadly perished from what at first seemed like an enemy attack from the rear, but really the other twin's forces had betrayed his very brother and killed him along with his men. The remaining brother besides Rodrik was seen as a traitor, and King Cailan had to take action, but the twin disappeared one night with his small army and was never seen again. Thus, the future king had to be Rodrik.

King Cailan died of the Queen poisoning his wine as she decided to avenge the death of her two sons. She was arrested, and Prince Rodrik, who was now twenty, had to return from his campaign against the Crenad Kingdom and take his rightful place as king. However, his first decision would forever be his hardest as he had sentence his mother to be executed for high treason. As her head was sliced off by the executioner and the peasants cheered, the new king cried himself to sleep that very night. In a few more months, the Stakha Kingdom prevailed and the kingdom of Crenad surrendered. Rodrik personally signed the treaty and made sure that Crenad would pay if they ever attacked them again, but that seemed unlikely as he had took half of their total money and even some of their weapons from them to punish them for this bloody war.

Now, King Rodrik the I reigns over his kingdom with pride and honor. He is known to be bisexual, and for somebody who controls a lot of things, it is rumored that is he more of a submissive lover rather than any dominant person. He has no lover yet in his mind, and he hopes somebody could fill the void in his life as the hunt for his missing brother continues over the land. Mira is now one of his royal advisers, and he listens to her than any of the others. He is a skilled swordsman, and very intelligent for a man who is now only twenty two years of age. He waits for the next moment to happen, but his thoughts dwell on his missing brother. After all, he wants to personally show him what happens when you betray family by shoving his steel claymore through his neck.

[ You let out a sigh of relief and close the book, thinking of what you just read. ]

[ As much as you would sit there all day and think about it, you remember that you must attend a reunion with your family and quickly gather your things and sprint off. ]

Sir Josef Peyton

( MEANT DIRECTLY FOR MEDIEVAL/FANTASY ROLE-PLAYS. )

[ A new scroll is being added in the castle's archives. Curious, you roll it open and read it's contents to see who is good enough to be added in London's castle. ]

[ In elegant writing, you read the words in your head about a knight named Josef Peyton. ]

Josef Peyton grew up in a small village in Great Britain, one which he would always remember for the rest of his life. After his mother gave birth to him, there was celebration at first until his mother died from the blood loss of delivering a child into the world. His father was struck with vast grief, but he remained there for his son and treated him as best he could. His father worked as a woodsman rather than some farmer, and he wasn't quite poor like most, but he was no noble. He had served in the military and fought against William Wallas at the Battle of Falkirk, which Great Britain was victorious, and served furthermore in the Hundred Years' War until he retired. By the time he retired, Josef was already half a man as he was in his teenager years.

As a child, while his father was away, Josef was rather an adventurous child. He didn't wish to stay in one spot, and he had visited the local blacksmith who acted like more a real father should. It was there that Josef discovered his fascination for blades, and as Josef grew older and received tutoring, the blacksmith Geoffrey even taught Josef how use to a sword. With Geoffrey's training of how to wield a sword, it wasn't long until he decided what he wanted to do with his life. He wanted to be a knight just like his father, protecting His Majesty and killing traitors.

When Josef became eighteen, and his father had been home for at least two years, his life changed and thus this village will always be remembered. He was talking with Geoffrey, discussing about how he wanted to be a knight for Great Britain, when screams were heard outside. The village came under attack from ruthless vikings who hoped to gain something from plundering Josef's hometown, and he stood with his father, Geoffrey, and any other militia that raised their weapons and resisted the attack. Despite their efforts, and Josef's excellent swordsmanship, the vikings overran the village and he was forced to flee by the command of his father. As he ran off, Josef turned back to see a sword shoved through his father's chest, and his heart had been forever scarred by the memory. Though his father wasn't the greatest, Josef knew his father had done everything he could for him and he loved him no matter what.

After the pillage of his hometown, Great Britain had a small army sent to search the remains of the village in which they found Josef hiding in the forest. With nowhere to go, he asked if he could join them back to the capital, which they agreed. He traveled with them to the capital, and enlisted in the army. For five years now, Josef had been in the ranks of His Majesty's army, keeping a blade close to him. He had seen action in the Hundred Years' War, but he is now more in the "back-up" ranks of the military. Now, he guards London with other soldiers, waiting for his chance to fight once again and redeem the deaths of his only family.

Josef is now twenty three years of age, and bisexual. However, he leans more toward men due to his submissive nature. He is quite a generally kind, caring, and passionate person, but he can have a dark side like every living thing in the universe. He is a highly skilled swordsman, and usually is seen in his armor and carrying his steel longsword on him at all times. Furthermore, he is single and not precisely looking, but he doesn't know what can happen. For now, he guards London with his blade, waiting for his next step into battle unless somebody he loves comes into his life.

[ After reading the scroll, you roll it back up and put it where it belongs. ]

[ You don't know what makes Sir Josef so important, but you know there must be some reason. One day, you hope to find out. For now, you have to get through the rest of your daily job at the archives - which includes writing one hundred pages. ]

Mercer Fern

( THIS CHARACTER IS MORE MEANT FOR A FANTASY ROLE-PLAY WITH PARANORMAL CREATURES AND SUCH. HIS STORY COULD BE ALTERED FOR OTHER ROLE-PLAYS, BUT THE SETTING WILL REMAIN IN A FANTASY WORLD. THIS CHARACTER CAN BE IN ROMANCE ROLE-PLAYS AS WELL. )

[ A corpse of a fancy-looking man leans against a desk, a journal in his hands. ]

[ After grabbing the journal and brushing the blood off the hardcover, you discover the contents to be about residents who have either lived here, or people have came and go. ]

[ None of them interest you but one titled of a mysterious man named: "Mercer Fern," and decide to read it as you are quite bored with searching the ruins. ]

" Mercer Fern is in a few words from my accounts with him: mysterious, adventurous, and very dangerous. It was a colder night when I first encountered the man, and strangely he came up to me and tapped my shoulder. He said he would give me a story to write if I told him something so easy as where the nearest Inn is. Though, to be honest, I think I know why he made it easy. He just wanted his life story to be written down somewhere, so that he wouldn't be forgotten if he ever died.

" Mercer Fern was born on September fifth and ironically at the night of a full moon. His mother had sadly passed away from giving birth, which sent his father into a state of depression. During this state, his father couldn't take care of Mercer as a young baby, and thus gave him up for adoption at a local orphanage, leaving him outside the door and knocking three times before scurrying off. However, his father should've kept the child since it made him slightly happy, and it didn't take a month later until he poisoned himself and died.

" As a child, the owner of orphanage, Miss Jenkins, already noticed Mercer's mysterious behavior. Instead of wanting to play outside with the other children, Mercer wanted to stay inside and read books that were far above his skill level or so they thought. However, Mercer swiftly became a quick learner as he taught himself to read and to comprehend books that a mature adult could only read. He started to read the history of the kingdoms, tales of the lands, stories about the greatest figures in the world until his brain was cramped with knowledge about the whole continent. This information would serve him well in the future, but that didn't mean because he read a lot means that he was a coward at fighting. Mercer was gifted in a way with combat, because as Miss Jenkins describes, he is like an Elite soldier fighting other bullies. His quick reflexes made dodging attacks easy, and he hit as hard as an hammer. When a bully tried to fight Mercer, they were rewarded for their courage with a broken face and bruised body.

" As Mercer grew up, he was asked to be enlisted in the military since Miss Jenkins's reports were rather interesting to them. However, he declined, but one man listened and was glad he declined the offer. One night, Mercer was greeted by the man and wanted Mercer to join him in his band of elite hunters. A hunter can of anything from simple animals, such as boar and deer, to even demons and other savage beasts. Hunters were a primary fighting force for the military, but acted more like mercenaries and they have their own code of conduct and law. Mercer wasn't that interested, until he saw the hat that the man gave him. The hat was stylish and Mercer found it very attractive, and after he learned that their uniforms were always like this, he couldn't help but resist the offer. Thus, Mercer enlisted in the hunters, and was taken out of the orphanage at the age of twelve to begin training.

" After twelve complete years of training, learning about beasts and history of the whole world, Mercer Fern finally became a hunter. Immediately, Mercer started completing tasks as a hunter; hunting down large beasts and blasting them away with his iconic blunderbuss and even his secondary firearm, a flintlock pistol. Every creature he killed was taken down rather quickly thanks to his unique skill in combat, and the fact that he knew so much about his prey. However, he had always worked alone and discouraged working with the other hunters. Though, one day he was forced to join with the others in an assault on the ruins of a city full with creatures. The Hunters were victorious, but Mercer had purposely went alone and disobeyed his orders from his squad leader. Mercer wasn't demoted, but he was punished severely for the insubordination. He was whipped five times on the back, and each hit left a permanent scar. After that, it didn't take long for him to complain to the leader of the Hunters about this matter. Thus, it was settled that Mercer would always go alone, unless he changed his mind, on missions.

" After six more years of fighting beasts and demons and animals, Mercer became thirty and felt more battle-scarred than ever. He had killed so many creatures that the thrill of it was mostly lost, and he dared even dreamed sometimes about what it would be like to have a nice wife and a loving family. However, the code of the Hunters decrees that no hunter will engage in any sexual activity with a man or female, and not even be able to get into a relationship with another person, especially a fellow hunter. Thus, Mercer continued using his combat and intellect skills to complete his tasks, going on more raids and assaults and finding some satisfaction in them. However, one day, Mercer just suddenly disappeared. He would send letters saying a task was completed, though how he found out about the mission was unknown, but he was never seen by the Hunters ever again, though some civilians claim to see him every now and then but vanish quickly from their sight.

" To escape the Hunters, Mercer just wanted some peace. He wanted to go on missions at his own pace, and thus this left him traveling the world a lot. He never really stayed in one place, and even now after telling his tale to me, he continues to travel the world. It seems to me that all Mercer wanted to do was to be left alone to his thoughts as he did his missions, or maybe even think about whether or not he should have a family. Though, we don't know of this yet, I deciphered some things about the strange man who is seen every so often that he is bisexual, and of course single. He has a rough personality about him, especially for the wounds he had suffered from battles against the monsters, it seems he doesn't wish to be dominant in a relationship. He seems to want to be the loving, cute boyfriend in the relationship rather than the dominant lover. Currently, Mercer continues to travel the world and make things better, wearing his stylish outfit with his iconic gunpowder weapons and even keeps wearing his mask that only he has.

" After telling me his tale, Mercer Fern didn't say another word but bid me farewell and then vanished. He ran off into the night, perhaps heading to that Inn or just doing something else. Either way, I was dumbfounded to have found the man. The legend who is now thirty two and alive, wandering the world for some prey and maybe even love. "

[ Blood is splattered on the rest of the page, but nothing is there but the empty pages. ]

[ You throw the journal down and look over to the window, seeing the ruins outside with a lycan running up and down a wall. ]

[ You smirk and decide it's time to get to work as you pull out your weapon, and jump out the window with a battle cry. ]

Tyler Jasper

( THIS CHARACTER IS MEANT FOR DRAMA OR ROMANCE ROLE-PLAYS, BUT SET IN THE MODERN WORLD. HOWEVER, THE SETTING CAN BE CHANGED WITH A FEW TWEAKS IN HIS STORY. )

[ After hearing about some new artist that published a few of his works that show potential, you decide to search the fellow up on the internet and look at what he has to offer and who he is. ]

[ You discover that his artwork is pretty decent and unique, which could make him very popular if he makes something big. ]

[ Finally, you find the information about him and read it to yourself. ]

Tyler Jasper was born in London, United Kingdom and had quite a healthy birth. His parents were proud to call him their son, and even then at a young age, they could tell that he was going to do some big things in his life. As a child, his parents knew their predictions were getting ever true, since they had discovered the lad already learning English at an early age, and even then they saw that he was quite an artist. He could draw or paint quite complex things for a child during his time, and it made his parents even more proud to brag about their new and only child. His parents wanted to have a second child, but Tyler was always around and doing something such as playing video games, since he can be considered quite the nerd at times, or drawing. His friends were more of acquaintances, and he didn't really want to leave the house unless it was to draw something of nature. Thus, his parents couldn't really have the opportunity to try to have another child, and they didn't care since they would have grandchildren either way or so they thought.

However, as Tyler grew into his teenage years, his parents started to worry about his sexuality. After all, the teenager enjoy a popsicle quite so, and even admitted he liked sucking on them, but of course that wouldn't decide anything but it was a slight hint. His parents furthermore expected him to not be straight when he shrugged off the thought of marrying a woman, saying that women are kind and good friends, but he didn't really want to marry one. That helped decipher that he is a homosexual, and his parents were frightened by the thought, but one day it was all discovered. After all, Tyler went to his parents one day at the age of sixteen and admitted that he hadn't been going to the library for studying some nights, but actually meeting up with his boyfriend that he secretly had. Afterwards, though his parents probably wanted to throw a fit, they decided they couldn't change him and just accepted him for he is, which relieved the teenager greatly. Though now kids knew he is gay at school, and that his lover is gay as well, he didn't care. He embraced it.

Though, after high school, Tyler went to art school to help his career. He also had hated high school despite his friends, since after his boyfriend and him broke up one day from a rough fight, his former lover had told everybody that he had slept with Tyler quite often. It was quite embarrassing information, since then everybody at his school, and even his parents heard it from one of his friends, that Tyler had lost his virginity at sixteen. Though most teenagers do, it still didn't help the immense embarrassment from it. Anyways, Tyler attended art school for six years and then went out into the world to show it just how great he is. His artwork was small, and not really looked at by most people until his fifth piece of artwork which was quite intriguing. Somebody even purchased the painting from him, and that is when he started to become popular. However, Tyler is having a rough time with his newest painting which will be his greatest of them all, but of course it isn't finished but thousands are waiting for it. When it comes out, then Tyler might actually be recognized by the whole world besides Europe and the United States.

Now, Tyler at the age of twenty eight, remains in London in an apartment suitable for a couple if somebody else moved in with him. He is currently single and still a proud homosexual, though he had been in two other relationships after high school but they didn't last.Tyler is a very submissive fellow, and enjoys sleeping with his lovers if he feels they really do love him. Another fact about Tyler is that he is quite a nerd and enjoys video games, which do sometimes help with his art in ideas. Tyler is quite clean as well and is sometimes obsessed with maintaining a clean household. Now, Tyler searches for his true love in London as he finishes his biggest piece of art.

Walter Daniel of Lothric

( THIS CHARACTER IS USED FOR A "DARK SOULS" UNIVERSE ROLE-PLAY. HOWEVER, HE CAN BE ARRANGED TO FIT INTO ANY FANTASY/MEDIEVAL ROLE-PLAY OR SO I BELIEVE. )

[ You come across a strange fellow, one whom is known as a pilgrim in these parts on the road to somewhere, but most say it's a road that leads to the great kingdom of Lothric. You can identify him as a male, since his voice is quite ragged and masculine. ]

[ You ask to know which way the nearest settlement is, but instead the fellow decides to tell you a story about a man and you decide to just go with it. ]

" Hear thine tale of Sir Walter of Lothric! Walter Daniel if wish to know his full name. Sir Walter grew up in the slums of Lothric, being quite a poor fellow and having to defend for himself while the kingdom was still around. Of course, Sir Walter is well known for his skills with a sword, and that is because at a young age, he often practiced with such blades. After all, life in the slums was harsh due to thieves or muggers whom tried to steal your food, or else they would kill you in a flash! There was no law, since it wasn't needed or so the nobles believed. They told the poor to defend for themselves down there in the slums, and that is precisely what Walter did when he was of age. He often practiced with his father, who used to be a guard of the city before his drunken behavior got the best of him, and got him kicked out. Since he couldn't pay for anything by measly food, his wife abandoned him and left Walter with him, thus he had to take care of his son. However, Walter's father didn't last very long. He died when Walter was but ten, and he passed away by the wound of a dagger in his stomach and chest.

" Like most tales of men who lose their parents, though this is true, Walter grabbed his father's longsword and went out to seek his father's killers. They had left Lothric and went somewhere down the road, and though most would just give up, Walter did not. He instead just grinned and went after them, and eventually caught up to them while the two murderers were sleeping in a forest. Walter had sneaked up to one, then brutally murdered him with the sword and allowing the screams to wake his friend. His friend attempted to kill Walter, a ten year old boy, but it was impossible. These were not fighters, unlike Walter, and in the end were just only two corpses laying on the ground; and none of them were of a boy.

" Walter returned to Lothric, striking fear into the slums for his well-known swordsmanship. Many had tried to kill Walter and show he wasn't that strong, but they were granted a fast death by Walter's blade. Walter kept his father's longsword as his own, and though his teenage years were full of bloodshed, he remained a sane fellow. Once he turned eighteen, he decided to enlist for the army. However, due to the reputation of his father, they feared the same thing would happen and declined his request. Enraged by this, he decided to make an example of a few guards before he left Lothric for good, fed up with it. He killed a few guards whom patrolled the High Wall, leaving their blood upon the stone walls. Before Walter could leave, he had been discovered and the guard knew what he did, and thus he was imprisoned for his terrible acts of murdering innocent souls.

" Walter was in prison for ten whole years, until he became twenty eight years of age, and that is when he was given a second chance; a choice. Walter would have to seek out a rebellious outlaw and kill his followers, including his wife, or Walter could just rot in prison forever. Of course, a sane man chose the sane choice, and went to kill the outlaw. Once he arrived at the encampment of the outlaw, killing his men, he discovered his mother was the outlaw's wife. Though nobody could tell if Walter regretted, but I believe he did, Walter killed the husband and slayed his own mother. Afterwards, he headed back and was given another task which involved killing. This went on for years upon years, until the kingdom betrayed him when he became thirty five years old. They "executed" him by ambushing him on his way back home one night, and though he fought valiantly and took a lot of the attackers down, he was nevertheless brought down and believed to be dead. Thus, the guards threw the corpse in a ditch in the cemetery and laughed back to the barracks, believing they had killed Walter, but no! Walter remained alive, and barely clinging onto life.

" After Walter managed to bind his wounds, which would forever scar his body. He decided to stay out of Lothric and head to the other kingdoms, until the demons and the wars happened. Thus, the land was thrown into an apocalyptic state (one which we know as the environment of the "Dark Souls" games), and Walter made his way back to Lothric one more time. There, he remained idle and fighting off the demons as he personally hunted the Lords of Cinder himself. However, that changed when he decided to just forget the Lords of Cinder, and instead gather treasure and fight off the demons that invaded the world. Though his body is wrecked with scars and wounds from his fights, he remains a skilled foe to all whom anger him or oppose him. Now, he does just that. He wanders Lothric, taking treasure and killing those who attack him as explained, in search for something that will give his life meaning once again.

" Though most don't know it, except for his himself and the account of the guards, it was known by very few that Walter is a bisexual man. Some say he is more gay than straight though, since his rough, scarred might indicate that he is a dominant person, but no, Walter is a highly submissive male. He has no lover, but it is reported he use to date a man when he was eighteen, which led to a lot of prejudice against him. Though, of course, nobody was a fool to judge him out loud. Besides that, some say Walter is a very caring person if he cares for you, since he had greatly cared for his father until he was murdered, but his vengeance by Walter shows that he does care for the ones he loves. Now, without somebody to hold his hand, he remains in Lothric, living in a tower on High Wall, enjoying the view of the dead guards who have died ever since the invasion. He laughs at their bodies every morning, since he knew he could've saved him if they just let him in their army.

" Now, now. The tale is finally over! Sir Walter of Lothric is out there! Go, find him if you wish! Meanwhile, I will be here...on my quest to die. "

[ The pilgrim marches once again, heading toward the ruins of Lothric and you shrug and decide to walk with him. In a day or so, you too will reach Lothric and find yourself in the ruins of a once great city. Nevertheless, you know that Walter will be the first to see you enter from his tower. ]
