Tired.

He doesn't return home, after the argument, even many hours later. He feels more and more frustrated as episodes like this repeat. He feels that it's simply impossible for him and HaiTien to tag along, that their personalities are just too incompatible.

Being lost in his thoughts, he ends up walking out of the gates during the guards' shift and by the time he decides to head back, he finds that the gates of the city have been closed. He tries to call for the guards to open, but he made some enemies among them and they pretend not to hear him.
Not knowing what to do, he starts to walk around the perimeter of the walls, until he notices a strange man in the darkness.

Suspicious, he decides to see what that mysterious man is up to and follows him. The other seems to be heading to the river.
Soon enough, he notices that there is someone else: Shin. Before he could even react, the mysterious man shoots a series of darts at the kitsune, through a crossbow.
«YAH!!» he shouts at the top of his lungs and rushes towards the man like a fury, but the attacker, after sending him a glance, simply teleports away before WonPil could reach him.

Shin, meanwhile, fell on his knees, slowly removing the darts from his chest, as it's a very painful procedure.
After realising that there is nothing he can do to find the man, WonPil approaches Shin to try to help him. «Are you ok? Can you cure it? I think… I think you must go to the hospital… be seen by the other doctors…» WonPil is shaking from how nervous he is at the moment.
«No… I will be fine… I will heal…»
«But still… we must go back into the city, we must or that man could attack again… this place is too exposed…» He looks around, trying to keep his guard high.
Shin slowly stands up, but he feels dizzy. The darts were poisoned, but that's far from enough to kill a direct son of Jeisin. Although it could have killed any other kitsune, even more powerful than him.

WonPil collects the darts and supports Shin to get back, but since he thinks the guards won't open even now, he supports Shin to go to the other side of the palace, instead, the side of the walls that are adjacent to the outside of the city, basically.

«Let their older brothers do it, so that their father won't have to be angry at you, won't think I'm a bad father and will scold them!» He smiles. But Chan is even too careful how he speaks in front of the kids.and Cyno would never mention sex, not even by accident!!
«Don't get in a competition over your pets, though. What matters is that you treat them well and are responsible for them.» He kinda wishes they both had chosen normal pets, but what.can he do.

Disaster "Huh? I always drink those, but what does it matter." She shrugs. She appreciates junk food a lot.
"Sure, sounds good. It is funny when they are all angry and scold others." She snickers at the thought.
"Yes, yes, yes...I will not let my pet down, it is way too cool! I just wish I could take him anywhere, even in school, but teachers are so boring." Cookie loves to eat papers and would devour her snack too.

Jing_Yuan «They are bad for you, especially before bed. You should drink them till early afternoon, at most.»
He nods. «It is not as funny if they scold you, so make sure there won't be the need for it. Don't forget that it is a privilege that we are allowed to live in the palace with the royal family.»
He sighs. «I am sure that your pet will be all right, eagerly waiting for your return when you go back from school.» He is scared to meet her teachers, if there would be a meeting he'd send Aron, Cyno or Chan. XD

Disaster "But I sleep in the early afternoon...I don't want to be without my blueberry juice."
Well, depends, because she could find that amusing too, depending on what she is being scolded for. "Yes, General." Getting scolded for pranking the little ones is definitely something she finds funny. XD
"Cookie might miss me. How could I face him! He'll think I abandoned him, can you bear such a thing? My heart can't!"

Jing_Yuan «Maybe that's the problem. You should avoid sleeping in the afternoon, so that you'll be tired at night.» It doesn't work with him, he can sleep at all times of the day and still being sleepy at night.
Yang is her top scolder, then, especially if she does things that force him to get up from the couch. XD
«It doesn't look to me like he gets so traumatized while you are at school. Maybe he understands the importance of it as well.» He grins.
