Tales of a Nomad (Worlds Adrift)

If I could show you a world so bright, teeming with adventure, would you join me? Full of dangers and traps and treasures, would you see it? I have seen wonders unlike anything you've ever known, soared high above the clouds across an endless sky. I've climbed mountains that dangled from the weight of a shattered moon. I've fought pirates and ocean creatures, weightless like the mighty vessel built by my own hands. I braved storms and great windfalls to discover lands unknown. I made friends, I made enemies, and now, I miss it all.
This world is not gone, but it's lost. Come with me, and together, we'll discover your story in a little game called Worlds Adrift.

NOTICE
This roleplay doesn't have a running plot to follow, instead having several different scenarios and encounters that vary depending on what your character does. Think of it like you're playing a game and I'm the console that runs it.

You wake up in a strange room covered in dimly glowing runes. There you find some equipment; a grappling hook and utility gauntlet; and make your way out. You quickly discover that you are stranded on an island floating in the sky. You see other islands in the sky around, and below is a dark undercast, like an ocean of cloud. In the distance, you can make out what looks like a sheer cliff. Or maybe a waterfall? It's like a massive wall that stretches all the way to the horizon and surrounds this vast area on both sides.

On the island, you find a metal platform with a terminal in the middle. Somehow, you know how it works, and you find a few blueprints for some ships in it. This is where your story begins.

Tale of a Nomad: Part One.
Location: unknown.
Objective: venture beyond the wind wall.

Ryein Falmoure (MHA-U)

Hero name: Juggernaut

Race: Human
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 180lb
Quirk: Steampunk
Class 2-A

Personality: proud, confident, brave, lazy
Likes: naps, cute girls, heros, exercise
Dislikes: water, villains, stupid people, schoolwork, his parents

Strengths: highly versatile quirk, training since childhood, wealthy family
Weaknesses: dehydration, cold, friendship, damaged parts take up to minutes to recover
Hobbies: tinkering, sketching, design, exercising, flirting?

Quirk detail: steampunk is a quirk with the perfect combination of emitter and enhancement style quirks. It transforms his body mass into a conductive machinery, and he can emit a steady amount of steam that uses the hydration from his body. This versatile quirk is limited only by what his mind can think of, but he must hone the image in his mind to perfection in order to replicate the function with his body. Due to this, he spends most of his time designing mechanisms that he can use, and keeping them in a journal for regular studies. His journal contains a large arsenal of mechanisms for him to use on the battlefield, so he doesn't have to think about it much.

Using his quirk drains his body of water, so he's rarely seen without a bottle of the stuff on him. He can also put the water directly into the machinery to avoid complications of drinking in battle.

A downside to his quirk is that he still needs his vital organs to function properly. Converting his organs to steam powered machinery is a huge risk to his life, and has been taught never to do so. It's hard to heal organs when they don't exist. He would either have to keep them gross fleshy stuff, or design steam powered replacements to keep his body functional. Still a huge risk.

Hero costume: his costume is hard to design, as turning into sharp metal objects would tear through fabric and steam would damage materials. So, much like Kirishima's costume design, he has to leave a lot of his body exposed. However, when operating his quirk, he uses the metals to armour himself and the machinery. The costume is designed with twelve water canisters that connect directly to his body six at a time to provide water for steam. This allows him to operate his quirk for much longer than without his costume, and without the inconvenience of drinking from a bottle all the time. His mask his made up of the mass of his lower mandible, making it so he cannot speak while wearing it. He can if he wants to, but the silence is cool.

Backstory: Ryein was born into a wealthy family, both his parents are astronauts and would operate in space for months at a time. This left a distant gap between them as he was raised mostly by his personal maid. His parents wanted him to become an astronaut like them, but he wanted to become a hero.
Because he has a lot of money behind him, he was accepted into UA highschool in the hero course. He had developed his quirk since it manifested, as it is one of the most complicated as well as versatile quirks ever seen.

Backstory:
Ryein was born in a hyper advanced human civilization, much like the common vision of our future world with flying cars and buildings out of 3d printers.
Both his parents are astronauts who met in space cadet training. When Ryein was born, his parents were given many tasks in space, and rarely got to spend time with him. The boy was raised by the various servants in the manor, but his personal maid, Sheila, soon became his legal guardian. Aunty Sheila, he called her, until he grew into his rebellious teenage years. With few years of time spent with his parents, Ryein came to dislike then for how distant they were. He dropped out of space cadets and would often retreat to a hideout where he would tinker with technology. He was skilled at what he did, being highly educated and whatnot.

One day came when it all changed. The world fell to destruction by means of a natural disaster of an unknown source. The boy then found himself in a strange spacial rift, disoriented, but strangely calm. Turns out, a goddess by the name of Synthia had a mission for him. She had a dragon in the distant future in need of a protector, and Ryein was chosen, or rather, created for the job. She bestowed upon him new additions to his body, granting him remarkable abilities of a dragon. She sent him back into his world, but in the distant future, after all that once was is reduced to a memory, forgotten by it's lands.

And that's where his story begins. Confused, lost, and with a new life long mission. Where in his story will you become a part of? Ask me for more details and roleplay.
