The land is Ragnia, an inhospitable tundra filled with bitter fog and horrific predators of all capacities to devour life. For 1,500 years The Lazinshay Ragnians had ruled over all the land, beholding dominion over the common canid Ragnians and felids alike. From the very inception of their culture, they prophesied of one of their own Chosen to take Ragnia into The Future; forecasted by The constellation revolving around The Nightstorm Star. Their rule had been usurped, their leader destroyed; the common canid Ragnians had successfully uprisen and usurped the power from The Lazinshay. For the next five centuries The Lazinshay were hunted by the greater forces of the common empire. Their numbers dwindled, until their population had only nearly exceeded 900 killers strong.
Then was born Sel, daughter of Ena. It hadn't taken long for her to be recognized as their Chosen One. But it was not a comforting revelation; upon her birth before her chord could even be severed she hideously ripped her own mother into pieces; not as a feral animal would, but a monster. It didn't take her long to be noticed by a Lazinshay who was ex-communicated by the clan; an elderly by the name of Qui'Zon. After his exile years earlier, he had gained employment under the common Ragnian king Raler Allard; who was looking for specimens to enroll into a Child Superweapon program with Qui'Zon as the director. Raised along Qui's own son Liu and a captured human prince named Jude Harcorn; the three experienced hell every day in the program. Liu'Zon would have his senses scrambled often, his own insecurities constantly blared at him. Jude as being a human was the physically weakest; and constantly had his bones shatter and then healed to reinforcement through special natural resourced from the land. Sel however; it was quickly aparent to Qui'Zon that her body was incredibly durable. Rods would bend on her bones, blades would dull on her flesh, she could hold her breath for hours immersed in white hot flames, even Ragnian military explosives' only covered her coat with soot. Qui'Zon would resort to having her regularly boiled in high strength acid completely submerged. This worked for a time, her screams of terror and pain would soon stop after three years of this treatment. Despite it causing her pain, it still didn't cause her any damage. What could hurt her, what could kill her?
After 18 years of the program, Sel'Ena had become bitter and self-isolated; she believed herself to be a completely unique creature and that everyone else around her was immaterial. Qui'Zon was terminally ill by this point; and upon his deathbed he explained what the true purpose of the program was. The three had been groomed to restore The Lazinshay to greatness; Jude being fitted with the only weapon that could kill Raler Allard. Sel'Ena was tasked with reconnecting with the remaining Lazinshay and liberate them from apostacy, and rule over The Ragnian People as The Matriarch of The Lazinshay; a restoration to how things were a century prior. She set out, finding and slaughtering the current leaders of The Lazinshay effortlessly; adapting herself as The Clan's new learder.
