Born of Giant's blood and housed in a human womb, Rhys was as much myth and fantasy as he was flesh and blood. Born of bastard's blood and a lineage that sounded more far-fetched than the reality of the over-sized orphan's upbringing on the streets.
Rhys survived by his strength alone. As a toddler, he escaped his beginnings of chains and servitude as soon as he was able to break the chains of his collar and climb the walls of his slave camp. It took only a week before the boy was picked up by a band of highwaymen. To hunt. To Kill. To steal. He lived by those three principles throughout his adolescence. By the time he'd reached his teenaged years, Rhys outweighed and outfought the best of his newfound brothers and keepers. It was only a matter of time before he out grew them entirely.
Heroism, attention and glory had been engraved in the boy with his time spent with the group of bandits that practically raised him. Only those words and their meanings had perverted under the tutelage of the highwaymen.
A true bastard he'd become...
