Your oc is a hero - mine, Aki, is a stripper. There's a villain on the loose, a serial killer who specifically targets strippers and prostitutes. This causes Aki to be hyperaware, as he usually doesn't get off work until very late at night, and he doesn't really have many people to walk home with. This even more so after the serial killer had gotten to one of his only friends, someone he relied very heavily on to even emotionally get through the day.
Problem is, Aki refuses to accept help from any of the heroes - especially because he's never been quite fond of them, having had rough experiences in the past with corrupt heroes who were only out for fame or.. favors in return for Aki's life being saved.
One night, Aki's getting off work, sliding out the back door of the strip club and into the dimly lit city streets. This part of town was never really frequented by heroes very often, which had Aki both relieved and unnerved. He, himself, didn't have a very combat-style quirk, so he always carried around self defense weapons in his bag... though that particular night, they hadn't really come in handy. Aki's attacked - and maybe not by said previous serial killer, but by another disgusting patron of the club he works at, who really just waned to get their grubby hands on Aki. Of course, Aki put up as much of a fight as he could, he was fiesty and would never let himself be dragged off without at least clawing out an eye first. Unfortunately, his attacker wasn't very keen on the idea of letting him get away.
Just as Aki felt like those moments with his attacker might just be his very last, your oc comes to save the day! A hero, on the case of the serial killer targeting prostitues and strippers, has stepped in on suspicion of your attacker being that villain. Though, your oc deducts that this certain patron is much too much of a stupid slob to be on the same level as his villain.
Your oc looks over to Aki, folding his arms and raising an eyebrow, "What, no thank you? I just saved your life."
Aki only scoffs and rolls his eyes, "Wow, thanks. You did your job."
Your oc rolls his eyes and stops Aki from walking home, having to ask the stripper questions to get some kind of lead on his case. When Aki hears that your oc is looking for the serial killer that took his friends life and mutilated her poor body, he insisted on being involved in the case, in helping your oc on his investigation.
