メ About Kelpies (from a source but also my interpretation): The mythological kelpie is usually described as a powerful and beautiful black horse inhabiting the deep pools of rivers and oceans or seas, preying on any humans it encounters. The Kelpie is a water horse spirit of myth, they are capable of shape-shifting. They inhabit the Lochs and pools of water. It is described to look like a horse but can take a human form. Said to delight in drowning its victims. In certain stories, it loves the human liver. An Aberdeenshire variation portrays the kelpie as a horse with a mane of serpents. One of the water kelpie's common identifying characteristics is that its hooves are reversed as compared to those of a normal horse. Their habitat is widely argued, some saying oceans or seas, others saying lochs and rivers, or even just the area beside pools of water. (In this RP it is all of those unless discussed otherwise.) The creature's nature was described as "useful", "hurtful", or seeking "human companionship"; in some cases, kelpies take their victims into the water, devour them, and throw the entrails to the water's edge. In its equine form, the kelpie can extend the length of its back to carry many riders together into the depths. Some say they function much like sirens.

メ Partial Background: The heir to the crown and the most powerful Kelpie to live as of yet… he is nothing short of “peculiar” to almost all of the water-born creatures to exist. He defies the nature of Kelpies. The rumor that he isn't a full-blooded Kelpie, has caused many issues in his social life and for the royal family. It is mostly because he has abilities that stray off of the limit of his kind, as well as his appearance when in his default form or human form. He has protected all his life despite everyone ‘knowing’ he is very powerful… why?
