leon's always been close with his mother despite all the things she's put him through. being raised by miranda was a whirlwind but leon wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. even if not picture perfect he cherishes his childhood. though his pent up rage can be displaced, while he'd never lash out at his mother he finds himself getting frustrated with himself and traits that she helped create. he tries to keep this frustration hidden, but often it boils over and is displaced onto himself. he'll curse in fits of anger and ostracize himself from his peers for durations of time before returning as though nothing ever happened. leon and his mother have every right to a rocky relationship and while they've had their fair share of hardships leon continuously offers her an extension of his hand in forgiveness, something he can't not do with his vow to loyalty.

leon and his sister are prone to bickering. she and their mother do not have the same relationship that leon and their mother have. while leon was forgiving his sister was foreboding. this wasn't without reason. after being repeatedly drained mentally by their mother she began to distance herself from her. this causes strain between leon and lydia but outside of the topic of their mother their bond remains strong for two adult siblings. leon's her elder by three years and she's always looked up to him and his success, though she also seem's protective over him. the pair may bicker but at the end of the day they have each other's backs over anyone else's.
