CLAYTON'S BACKGROUND

Clayton's father was a heroic firefighter who died in the line of duty when Clayton was only 12 years old. His mother was a college counselor who always had a strong, supportive presence in Clayton's life passed away when he was only fourteen years old. She had provided him with a strong, supportive presence in his life and her passing left him with a deep sense of emptiness. Adding to the pain of such a major loss, after being placed in foster care, he was ultimately adopted by a secret mafia hitman when he was 15. His new environment introduced him to a dark world of criminals and violence that changed the course of his life forever.

The Dark Heart

Clayton was born and raised in the vibrant metropolis of New York City, where he grew up amidst the bustle of life, traffic and noise. Despite his suave appearance and charming disposition, Clayton held a bleak secret inside his heart: he was a selective hitman, notorious for his ruthless efficiency and meticulous attention to detail. This dark side of him existed beneath the charming veneer that he displayed to the rest of the world.

He struggled to process his loss and his anger turned into vengeful rage. He had no outlet to deal with his negative emotions except through violence and aggression. So Clayton developed a deep hatred for criminals and sought to enact justice by taking lives using the same manner that took his father from him.

Clayton's anger and hate blinded him in more ways than one. In addition to pushing him towards a life of contract killings, it also clouded his judgment and made him lose sight of the bigger picture. While his thirst for vengeance offered him temporary satisfaction, it ultimately led to a deeper sense of unfulfillment and emptiness.

The Unassuming Life

Clayton's life appeared to be a fairly mundane one on its surface. He resided in a modest apartment in the heart of Manhattan, where he spent his days working as a freelance graphic designer. His sole companion was a ferocious and protective Rottweiler, named Brutus, who kept guard over their home and accompanied him on regular walks through Central Park. (This routine was often interrupted by his work as a hitman, but he maintained a normal appearance for his daily life.)

In his leisure time, Clayton would indulge in activities that allowed him to separate himself from the turmoil of his dual life. He savored his hobbies and found comfort in the arts. He poured his soul into painting, practiced his piano talents, and lost himself in the pages of classic literature. This outlet provided him with a means of escaping the harsh realities of his dual existence, allowing him to reconnect with his creative side and find solace in the calm, peaceful world of the arts.

Despite his artistic pursuits, and the tragic past of his life, he is connected to the underworld. The largest operating Cinque Organization is known as 'Five Routes'.

The Lethal Intuition

Although Clayton excelled at concealing his true identity and hiding his true motives, his genuine strength was his ability to remain calm under pressure. He had a remarkable intuition for predicting his target's behavior and anticipating their next step, allowing him to stay one step ahead and execute his assassinations efficiently. His strategic mind and sharp observation made him a dangerous adversary in the world of contract killing, and he always managed to come out on top.

Despite all the talents and skills that Clayton possessed, he was not infallible. He sometimes found himself struggling with his sense of morality, questioning his chosen profession and its implications. While he had accumulated wealth and success, he also longed for a sense of meaning and purpose in his life. This longing often conflicted with his darker tendencies and inner demons, leaving him with a sense of conflict and confusion. (His inner conflicts arise from the contrast between the two halves of his life but also from a deeper yearning for meaning and purpose.)
