As a small child, Darcie would attract attention wherever she went, her mother often being stopped at the shopping mall by people exclaiming how adorable her daughter was. On one of their outings, a man approached Darcie's mother and told her that the three-year-old girl would be extremely successful in modelling or acting, and after giving her his business card, her mother would begin taking her along to casting calls and auditions.
It turned out the man had been right, casting directors were drawn in by the blonde child, calling her "adorable" and comparing her to Shirley Temple. Darcie would appear in several television commercials, ranging from products such as jam, and cereal and eventually becoming the face of a reputable advertising company. Many people recognised the trademark ringlets and toothy smile, only increasing in popularity when she began to lose her baby teeth. Casting departments from movies started to reach out, and Darcie would be cast in numerous movie and television roles, typecast as the adorable, confident kid who couldn't correctly pronounce the letter 'R' yet.
As the years passed, Darcie only grew in popularity, and she soon saw a change in her home life. A successful career now funded a once humble family that made a modest living, and Darcie's parents only had her to thank. She was so accustomed to performing and sticking to a busy schedule that it became her "normal", and her mother quit her job to become her full-time manager. The older Darcie got, the less people saw her as the cute, innocent young girl, now beginning to blossom into a beautiful young woman, but naive to the workings of the world, especially the showbusiness world.
Darcie went by the name of 'Presley Fox' in the hopes that one day, should she choose to leave acting behind, she could live a semi-normal life. The older she got, Darcie recognised a shift in the way she was treated by casting directors and producers. They no longer cooed over her cuteness and instead seemed to make suggestive comments about her appearance. Her naivety led her to believe that they were just being nice and that this was how people behaved in showbusiness, but things took a dark turn when in her early teenage years, she was abused by a famous Director.
Darcie was forced to grow up quicker than other kids her age, and by the time she had reached fourteen, she had already begun smoking, and drinking and was even plied drugs to make her more co-operative. Her mother was blind to the abuse and mistreatment, her vision impaired by fame and dollar signs. At the age of eighteen, Darcie began a public relationship with a much older screenwriter, something that was heavily scrutinized by the press. Her behaviour began to change, and she would often turn up late on set or not bother putting in an appearance at all.
Due to her damaged reputation, Darcie saw a decline in offers and was left with few options, which kicked off her modelling career. Now she models for various fashion campaigns and agencies, taking minor roles in straight-to-DVD movies whenever the opportunity arises. She has grown tired of show business, but due to being coerced into signing a contract with her mother, she is unable to change career paths and is forced to continue performing.

Afena The Immortal: The Return.
This will be a short story detailing the events preluding the new world order. Namely, before the Divine Hierarchy made their move on Black and co. It will feature a climactic battle between two characters that I don't think have ever fought or really even interacted. And yes, this sub plot is inspired solely by the fight itself. (I'm a battle junky and infinitely curious how fantasy powers interact :D) Ofc I could just write it but I would like to incorporate story elements since it would make things more interesting. However, I will be writing this at my own pace. Work and life have largely deprived me of this little hobby of mine : /
Basic synopsis of the overarching narrative
Makai
The tales of an exiled orphan bearing both human and demon blood. Left to toil away in human world out of the demon lord's morbid curiosity, he assembled a battalion of his ilk upon making one crucial discovery...the presumed death of his late mother at the demon lord's hands.
Ravage and Pearl
The demon lord's colleagues of whom possess far greater power...and far less leniency. This rabid duo had plans of systematically conquering every dimension in creation, and even used the demon lord as a liaison to meet those ends.
Realm of the Forgotten
An exploration tale, one that would see Black and co. traverse spacetime to a forgotten land. This place is unique in that it relives the same day on loop, never progressing forward or venturing backward. (To clarify, the same events aren't guaranteed to unfold, March 1st today will just be March 1st tomorrow type of deal) As it so happens, the Gods had lifted the very concept of time from this realm, deeming it a potential anchor for paradoxes. Black reunites with his mother here, who is revealed to still be alive and kicking!
Divine Hierarchy
The Gods finally take direct action, spurred on by the events above. As setting foot in the forgotten realm is considered taboo, it might as well have been a declaration of war on the part of the thrill-seeking travelers. A double agent is also revealed to be among Black's ranks. Feeling the hybrid's forces had grown "too powerful" she readily kicked started the operation. Tragically, as a result of this, shortly after rescuing his mother from an eternal repeat button, Black loses his own life in battle. In addition, Twelve and Chaos are sealed away, effectively removing the three greatest obstacles for the oncoming war. Or so they thought...
Hell
The Oni are on the march. The plan to establish Oni supremacy is hatched. Through a meticulous process of simultaneously opening portals on either side of each realm (Hell/Earthland) this would force one to bleed into the other and overlap into a singular universe. The purpose for this? It would effectively make the Oni immortal as they're final resting place would now be tied to the living plane. To make matters worse, Twelve and Chaos' seals are shot down from the heavens by the ringleader, only for them to emerge..as enemies!? Fearing he would not be able to rule over the Oni who now had no fear of death, Twelve and Chaos' reality bending powers were needed to maintain order since they could manipulate one's very existence, and thereby erase it if need be. His means for controlling them!?
Epilogue
The aftermath of war and strife. Out of a band of several dozen, only a handful remain, living the remainder of their lives in peace as the next generation surfaces

Their family was small while she was growing up, but after her mother left when she was 3, things started to derail for the family. It wasn’t something they saw coming, but Laura decided to uproot her life and move out of the country with no explanation. She hasn’t talked to her mother since and nobody knows where she is now. That affected Clover in more ways than one. She never had the experience of a motherly figure but she got both sides from her dad.
Growing up was relatively easy for her, she was able to make friends easily with her bright and bubbly personality. She talked a lot and liked to share the things she loved, especially with her older brother. The two had always been close, him taking care of her while their father had to work most of the time.
